Just to cut the grass today. Bright sun shining day but the wind out of the north got to my thin blood I guess. Put on a hoodie and then a hat on top of the hood. I can only imagine 50 mph on the bike today, maybe with heated gear, which I don’t have. Better days are around the corner, I think!

It's warmer here.  It was 47 when I rode off this morning.  I did put on a solid jacket.

Same up here in VA John.  Temps in the low 50s would usually be fine, but the ripping wind cut me to the bone walking this morning.  I don't want summer yet, but would appreciate a bit milder weather so I could ride my machine without a snowmoble suit (which I have, and have used, except it's a large and I'm now a medium -  it was always big, but now it's a baggy ass sail in the wind).   Grin   If it's cold enough for the suit, I don't ride anymore.

On the-old-man-is-cold issue, I bought these little magnetized one inch square digital thermometers at Walmart, and put them on each of my little 3 floor split level house.  So it's 69 in the basement (my living room and TV), 72 on ground level (kitchen), and 74 at the top of the stairs (and my upstairs home office is the warmest room in the house).  I know heat rises is the reason, but it is a PITA being warm in one spot and chilly in another all winter.  I'm just too frugal (cheap) to crank it up so the whole house is warm.  And adjusting the duct vents doesn't change much.

And the good shower is in the basement.   tickedoff

Mowed for the first time last Wednesday.  Grass was growing in places, evened it out.  Woke up to 2+ inches of white on the lawn this morning.  Probably won't need to mow again for a week or more.

When I did mow the temps were in the 60's, sun was out, and wind was less than 10 mph.  Kind of nice to be outside.  This morning the temps are in the low 30's with a promise of middle 40's for high.  Since there is a fog/cloud sitting on us right now hard to believe the projected temps.

Absolutely! Haven’t had to do that yet.

Word to the wise... Lawyering up costs a sh!t ton more than a warm coat.

On a real happy note, I got in the best ride of the season today.  Right at 60 all day, but still in full leather (I get out in a lot of elevation and shade).  Out the Lee Highway, through the Manassas National Battlefield Park, then over on James Madison Hwy, out through Middleburg, Upperville, Marshall, The Plains, and all thought VA horse, cattle and farm country, all green and beautiful rolling hills, miles of 100 year old hand laid stone walls, spring flowers and early blooming trees everywhere.

Stopped to look and chat with old friends at the C & S Arms Co in Upperville, which is the finest antique arms store outside a museum I've ever seen.  The back part of the store was built in the 1700s as an Indian trading post, and the front is from the civil war era.  Most of the stuff is too spendy to buy, but you can handle nearly everything.  It's my favorite store in the whole world.  The proprietor regularly consults with and appraises for HQ NRA in No VA.
