I Know who it was BUT the mesage was the key! O K I've drawed this out enough. D D T was in Hardy Ar. and he told me what motel he was in and we agreed to meet fer supper. Had to call him back for the Correct motel name as the one he named was clear down to Little Rock Ar.  Roll Eyes It was only 75 miles down there BUT I caged it!  Lips Sealed And I had forgotten the AA battery he required fer his puter mouse!  Undecided But we fpound a Good resturant with VERY GOOD catfish and All the trimmins!  cooldude I'm SURE D D T Will have the name of the eatery as He-THANKS BRUCE-picked up the tab!  coolsmiley All in all a good visit and good meal were shared amongst FRIENDS and Brothers of the WIND!  smitten
Got fuel in West Plains Mo. bout 25 miles from my place and it had been lighting and thundering fer a spell but as I eased outa the fuel stop someone opened the flood gates!  crazy2 At the least the green power like pollen was washed off fer a spell!  2funny
He did manage a stop at Mammoth Springs Ar. which has a dam and a Civil War Cannon in that reat area/park. You ever git down thataway have a look see at the cannon. RIDE SAFE.

Hope I aint tellin tales outa school but last night when I left our erstwhile traveler he had informed me he was gonna continue on West a mite. Today he'd mentioned in a text he was in Fact headin south back Florida way. BUT we all KNOW a coddywomple IS subject to direction and time and changes with out too much thought on destinations!  2funny I reckon should Bruce have yer ringer number and he's semi close you may git a similar text/voice mail. BUT I'd rather NOT speak fer that man atall! RIDE SAFE.

It would definitely be a coddiewomple if he came close my way on his path back to Florida! It would definitely be a partially wet ride too!

I would have to get up extra early or more likely not go to bed to make that supper ride, 597 miles from home.

Dennis,

Oh, the devil sure is in the details isn't it... I really should pay closer attention to those pesky little bits of information that can count for so much... Alas, I don't always do that... I hadn't known where I might end up that evening, so it would not have been wise to have tried to contact you any sooner... As it turned out, the way things worked out wasn't much better, since I gave you the wrong name for the motel I'd come across! I did have the town correct, though...

You surprised me by being available for a meeting on such short notice, but... You impressed me even more by actually finding us in spite of the inaccurate information I provided you! No sweat on the AA battery, as our stop at the Dollar General took care of that item... for a couple of years, it would appear! Those can only be purchased in 'packs' of eight or more, but I only need two or three a year! Anyway, my 'Gerbil' works fine again...

Sorry, but I do not recall the name of that bar & grill where we dined... For this random wanderer, it's unlikely I'll ever return there, so no effort to remember it was made. I do recall the food was good, though, just as you pointed out... Fried catfish & hushpuppies are one of my favorite meals, and their offering was downright tasty... along with the other trimmings...

A great time jawing with friends along the way is an added treat to any coddiwomple, and this one with you was certainly a pleasure! I actually do very little of that, however, as my random style of wandering typically leaves me in some unanticipated location for a night or two. I really should make more attempts to meet with friends this way, though... (f6john, be very careful what you ask for, amigo!) Oh well, such is the nature of the course I follow...

Funny, I was going to ride out to New Mexico, perhaps Arizona, before making the turn back towards my doctors in Bama... Well, early the morning following our outing, I decided I didn't like the way the long range weather forecast was shaping up, and I didn't want to risk getting trapped behind a big blob of rain, so I took a notion to make a change... Southeast instead of due west... A little detail with profound implications!

I did swing by that park/rest area you suggested... I completely forgot about the dam there you'd also mentioned, so I reckon I may have to go back there again sometime... Another detail oversight thing! Thanks for making the drive down for a meal and gab session, my friend! If I don't see ya before, I'll look for ya at IZ...
