To Slade, Ky this weekend? Rumor has it some Valkyrie riders are taking over the Lil’ Abner Motel for a few days. I’m so close I never make a reservation but I hope to make an appearance. Friday may be out for me as I tentatively have a baby sitting gig but that’s up in the air too.

I’m not sure about that. It may have been in passing at one point or another, but that was the reason I brought the subject up. It was on Facebook which is where I was reminded of the gathering.

John,

A great shin-dig... and one I hate to miss! I have some more doctor-doings in Bama again, so... The best I can do is send some positive vibes your way. Y'all go ahead and start the party without me...

Wishing I could be there but, other priorities have demanded my attention.   For all those attending, be safe and have fun.

Bump for those who may not know.

Looks like another wet one this year, if you go by the forecasts. But there is a nice pavilion on the premises and I understand there will be dry firewood available!

More and more of my free time revolves around doc appointments too.

Well, best laid plans and all that, I didn’t make it over to the Dragon Weyr this weekend. It don’t believe it was as wet as expected, at least it wasn’t at my house, about 40 miles west as the crow flies. I did see some pics from Saturdays ride, some dry, some wet. Maybe some who did attend will chime in with a more detailed report.

It was wet and dry coming, there, and going home, but definitely worth the trip.  A real hoot, and we burned up $150 worth of firewood.  $150 up the chimley (that is for Barbie's benefit).

SmokinJoe reported that one in his group ended up in a ditch going home but no serious injuries. Road was sketchy contributing to the problem didn’t identify the rider, at least initially.
