I've tried looking it up on here, but can't find it. Apologies for my lack of searching skills if it has already been addressed somewhere.

I need to replace my right front turn signal - the plastic in the old one disintegrated.

I received the appropriate Honda OEM part, but it has only two wires, whereas the wiring harness on the bike has three wires.

There is ONE green wire, which I think is the ground, and TWO blue wires, which I assume are separate wires for running lights, and blinker.

I don't want to blow any fuses, relays, or generally mess any wiring up, so does anyone know how I need to proceed? how do I wire the two wires of the new indicator to the three wires of the harness?

Thanks for any and all help!

Is this an interstate or a standard/touer?

If it’s a standard or tourer the three wires feed into the back of the headlight bucket and plug into corresponding color wires in that ball of wires inside. Just remove the headlight bezel and  unstay the wire bundle. It’s not hard

Standard.

Perfect. See my comment above. Two screws at 4&8 o’clock on the bottom outside of the headlight. Not at the front and the headlight pops off.

You do not have the correct part if there’s only two wires. There should be a light blue and a light blue and white and then the green. If it’s an early model the orange lense will have the screws at the front. Later models have one screw at the bottom.

I don’t have an interstate but it could be an IS part instead of standard. Or it could be a rear blinker

I'm confused. The one I took off had three wires, but the screw on the bottom. The new one has two wires, but the screw on the bottom.

I guess I could frankenstein the three wires from the old one into the new one. Other than the three wires versus two, the two indicators are identical.

Nope - standard part. I verified the part number before ordering it.

Don’t molest a new part. Get the right part. All kinds of mistakes can be responsible for it but you have the wrong part. The one with two wires probably won’t accept a two filament bulb unless you scavenge that socket over from the old one as well

Okay, well the new part is now worthless to me if it is incorrect anyway, so I don't see a problem modifying it. Everything else checks out.

I appreciate your help, and will look into finding the right part. Also, I am frustrated by this, as I just dropped $60 on it.

Lesson learned, I guess.

Verify the socket of the new unit will accept the double filament bulb

Okay - I will look into it when I get back in the garage. I did briefly open it up, but it was just to see if a bulb came with it. When I saw in the affirmative, I closed it back up. it is worth checking.

In the interim (until I find the correct part), I can swap out the socket from the old indicator, which most definitely does accept the double filament bulb.

What disintegrated in the old indicator was the plastic screw sockets, as well as the plastic outer casing. The socket and wires are fine.

I just discovered that I did receive the wrong part.

What I ordered was the right front indicator, P/N 33400-MZ0-A82.

What I got was the left rear indicator, P/N 33600-MBH-013.

So, you were RIGHT, and I was WRONG about the part number. I will just return the one I got, and get the correct one.

Thanks again SO MUCH for your help on this!
