We flew in to Phoenix and drove up here Saturday

The scenery is just beautiful. This place has an infinity edge hot tub with striking views of the red rocks

But the traffic was unexpectedly greater than we remembered and the prices greater as well

Bonnie  must have gone in a few dozen stores today while I either made believe I was interested or
just sat on a bench looking at the scenery along 89A

Bought my state park pass today and we will be hiking some trails this week, then off to Seattle to see my son's family

I will be back on the 13th and visit mom then. but being in the memory unit I am certain she will be happy I tell her its still mother's day

fortunately she is happy, unlike my mother in law  Dementia and alzheimers are different in how they effect one's mom

Connie, if you and Mike want to meet us for lunch one day  here  text me

here is one taken from the place we had dinner
If you like buffalo or elk or fresh beef this is a good place
One of the best burgers I have ever had
and the beer is good too

Terry the food in Jasper was the best elk  and buffalo meat loaf I ever had

Yep.. I have family there and have been going since 1990, it's like San Diego now.. only smaller. Overcrowded.. Overpriced..

Last time out we barely escaped being trapped in Oak Creek Canyon headed toward Flagstaff, it would have taken hours to get through.
