For blocking unwanted repetitive e-mails? I have tried using the “unsubscribe “ feature many of these emails include and they seem to be a joke. I’m getting 50+ emails a day of which maybe five are useful.

Depending on what e-mail client you use, rules can be a life saver...

I've got a LOT of complex rules setup, email from certain addresses or certain phrases in the subject get sorted into different directories or outright deleted...

Takes some work to get set up but very rewarding...

Unsubscribe doesn't help if you never subscribed in the first place . Again, depending on what email client you use (I use Yahoo) doing blocking of the sender is about the only option. And even if you block address1,2,3 from a spammer, that doesn't mean you can block them all.

outlook has some pretty good filters and there is a lot of info out there on how to do it.
My wife uses outlook and she blocks most of her spam.

I've been using AOL for over 30 years now and never saw a reason to change it.

Only get about 3-4 unwanted emails a day, but I usually unsubscribe all of them and it seems to curtail most.

The amount received goes down until I give up my address to some web site, then the process seems to start again.

Cost of doing business, I figure.
