Has no one actually posted anything on the Valhalla Rally this Sept?

I'm sorry, I've been a little side tracked, and I know we have talked about it, but nothing posted?

Mike, did we even arrange for accommodations at Johnny's?

Here is the contact info, I need to confirm if we even have the hotel reserved off.

Valhalla - September 5-8 @ Johnny's Motel in Grand Forks, BC

Reservations can be made by calling Johnny's direct @ 250-442-8242, indicating that you are with the Valhalla Valkyrie group. Or you can reserve online @ www.johnnysmotel.ca

Mike did say that the site is booked.

I've made my reservation, and there are 18 rooms left.

Thanks for the reminder, Gordon!
As always, I will see what happens until then and will be camping if I make it out.
Hopefully for more than just 3hrs like 2023.

Did the first extended Duffey Loop last Sunday.
Surrey, Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, Lillooet, Cache Creek, Ashcroft, Hope, Surrey.
I love that area around Ashcroft!
Fresh asphalt and amazing views.

And again, I couldn't behave on the way back...
If I see a tunnel I just have to have fun  cooldude

See you in September hopefully!

Cheers

Apparently there was a cancellation at Johnny’s. Looks like I’ll get there this year. Looking forward to a great weekend.

Good to hear you caught it in time.

We also have another who is looking for accommodations, Boyd Swain. So if you have a spare bed, he doesn't mind sharing the room, or if you need to cancel, let me know and I'll email him direct (he was unable to post a message here).

Edit: Aug 31
Thanks Whooray for the PM and notice of a cancellation. I emailed Boyd with this information.

Margaret and I arrived home safe and sound after Valhalla 2024.  It cost me $368 to find out that , apparently, you can not exceed the speed limit by 50 kph when passing a cop..... who knew? angel

But he was only going 30kmph your honour, really he was!!

Home safe also. Drove home slowly, and the weather was overcast and reasonable cool all morning, so my tire held out at the slower speeds I drove it home.

Thank you all, for making another gathering so much fun.

See you all again at next years gathering.

With the completion of the Rally and everyone settled in, how about posting some of those photos taken of our festivities?
