Decided I need to put an alarm system on my Valk. Anybody have any recommendations?

<$200.00 and is better then or equal to systems running $300.00-$500.00. I've had mine installed for almost 4 years, no complaints.

DFragn, interesting and useful info. Just curious were you found space to mount the control unit, sensor and antenna on the Valk?

I installed the control unit in the tool slot behind the battery. Suggest carving a small opening in the rear turndown of the battery cover & notch the box a bit to run the wiring without pinching.
Speaker & siren are velcro'd to the back side of the coolant overflow.
And, the remote antenna is velcro'd to the rear fender under the passenger seat. I ran its coax along the frame [zip ties] and behind the fender rail. The antenna receives a good remote signal from 80'-100'+ away under there.

I had mounted the proximity sensor on top of the battery cover. Later I added the OEM Tourer CB that could only go on top of the cover. So I relocated the Proximity sensor to the inside lid of my added I/S trunk. There it doesn't sense well forward of the fairing, but it does successfully register movement from the fairing/bars and rearward.
