you think we live in a wind tunnel the past 1 year?  Last year my 150 year old burr oak tree came down.  a month ago my 32 year old flowering crabapple tree about 24 ft tall came down.  Tonight 2 hours ago,  after 20+ years of just a tad bit of movement in years past with say 40 mph winds, my 7x7 plastic resin storage shed is in shambles ripped apart every single panel.  It had to be 70 mph winds or so for 5 minutes tops, went outside heard some banging going on, and YEP,  panels were all over in front yard, side yard, and mostly backyard.

going outside tomorrow in hopes some shingles on roof came off and get a new roof and storage shed out of my 1K deductible.  Shed alone not worth it since they cost 1 grand no sense if just shed filing a claim if going to cost me 1K deductible.  Had a heavy 250lb old snowblower on floor, with tons of garden tools, etc. inside 7x7 shed.  doubt shed is able to be put back together, but guess after 20 years use,  time for a new one anyways?

MORE rain and wind to come but heard the worse is over.  Sure beats the big tornado though they had in Iowa this afternoon.

My two 10 x 12 gambrel roof wood sheds (double 3/4" marine grade plywood floors) arrived in a truck partially assembled.  I did a good job prepping the sites with three trenches lined with 4" solid concrete block to take the three 4X4 skids they sit on.  The were about $1100 each assembled on site.

30 years later, despite my best efforts (and the original el cheapo shingles), both needed new roofs.  I don't do roofing.   Each roof cost more than the original sheds.  At least this time they used good vinyl underlayment, the originals didn't even have felt.

One is for 2 interstates, all bike gear, jack, compressor, and all tools, with a small workbench.

The other is for all lawn equipment and stuff.  I built a large shelf across the back, but tall enough all the equipment rolls under it.  And a little roof shelf for long things.

Concrete driveway and walks go right to the doors, with the 2.5" tall entrance easy to roll bikes and equipment in and out, but tall enough to keep all rain and water out.

Both wired for 110 on 30 amps (one circuit for both sheds), and overhead fans, and long peak led lights.

Just like this one. (those artsy fartsy crossbuck doors rotted off too, so new solid T111 doors, and nice hardware.

It would have been nice to have a garage.

Only 20 years use? DEMAND yer money back!  Roll Eyes Long time ago I lived in a mobile home park in Gurnee Il. High winds NOT a twister Completely DESTROYED a new on the lot for sale mobile home. Less than a year later we bought a stick built house. 2nd X and I lived in a mobile home in Lamar Co.  Finally found a decent place to rent another stick built house. Course after seeing footage of Greenfield Ia. looks as If whatever you live in with enough wind Can and Will be destroyed. RIDE SAFE.

worst tornado I will probably ever remember in my life hopefully, about 30 miles from where I lived growing up in 1984 F5 tornado,  only thing I remember going to see the damage well afterwards was ONLY the water tower still standing.  Even 1 year later the rubble was still all over
