I want to thank everyone for their support and kind words over the past 9 or so months. On May 11th, with family on board, we set Kathy's ashes to the sea between Nubble Light and Appledore Island.
Yesterday, May 11th 2024, we committed our beloved Kathleen Hallisey to the sea. In an area between Nubble Light and Isle of Shoals, Kathy will start her journey in the new world. Swimming with her dolphins, porpoises, and whales with the eagles, seagulls and albotross watching from above. She will for ever be a part of the coast she loved so much. The Captain said she will go with the currents to the Canadian Maritimes, over to Ireland, England, Europe to the African continent to catch the gulf stream back to the beginning.
If I know Kathy, she's not leaving Maine. She will swim at Ogunquit, follow the seals to Camden Harbor, on to Bar Harbor, then Downeast Maine to West Quaddy Head Light. Then she will jump on the back of a unicorn and fly with eagles back to Nubble Light. She loved the Maine coast, and I believe this is where I will find her. Every time I go to Nubble Light, Ogunquit Beach, Camden Harbor, Bar Harbor or West Quoddy Head Light. Even if it's only in my dreams, Kathy will be with me on the coast of Maine
