Hello,
This morning I noticed a big puddle of oil under the bike. Hoped it was nothing but when I started it I saw a fast leak coming from the shifter shaft (2 or 3 drops per second). Going to get that fixed asap but what would be a cause of this. I don’t feel any trouble shifting except for 1 and 2, besides that it’s smooth shifts with no play in the shaft. This week was the first time I was consistently riding every day and first there was a coolant leak(solved), then a fuel leak (solved itself), and now this. Can’t help but feel superstitious

Need to replace the seal on the shifter shaft. Pretty easy job, and the seal doesn't cost much. Might also consider a Shifter Buddy from Steve Cain. I think it makes shifting more solid and protects the seal.

While you’re waiting for the part, remove the shift lever and push the seal all the way in. When I did that there was no leak to fix for almost a year. When it started leaking again I changed the seal.

Thanks for the advice. I’m gonna get the part ordered now and try that temp fix. I’ve heard a lot about that shift buddy and now that I have a few extra bucks I might get that. Got a lot of stuff I’ve actually needed for this bike but haven’t been able to get yet cause of money. At least im not out of a bike yet. I’ll be able to use my brothers shadow 750 while I’m waiting for this part

While looking at the shift drum + shift fork diagram on oem website I see part no 91206-286-013 is a small circular oil seal. Looks to be the right part, just wanted to double check
