Just a tip for my fellow Valkies ... I bought a Show Chrome front fender extension to keep the grime off the front of my engine, but was horrified at the idea of drilling four 1/4" holes in my fender to install it.  So, I used JB Weld to affix the nuts to the inside lower edge of the fender, and added washers to the bolts to shorten their threaded length appropriately.  The extension fits nicely inside the fender.
