Just for the sake of it, I called Golan and spoke to a representative about getting a Golan fuel valve for my Tourer.  During the course of our conversation, I told him that I'd noticed on their web page (near the bottom of the page) that they have a Fuel Tank Selector with the lever on the side...just like the stock Valk valve.  I asked him if it would be feasible to design one of their fuel valves with the selector lever on the side to better match our stock setup. I also told him that if they could design something like that, he may have a significant number of Valk owners who may want to replace their failing or about-to-fail stock petcocks with a newly-designed Golan.  He told me it would take 6 months to a year to develop such a valve but if there was a market for it, nothing would be off the table.  He also said that Golan can lengthen or shorten the fuel tube on their petcocks to give you more or less fuel reserve capacity depending on individual preferences.  For the time being, he recommends their #76-312F model for anyone wanting a Golan Fuel Valve for their Valk.  The rep was receptive to considering designing a valve with a side selector lever.  So if they get additional calls letting them know of the potential market out there, they may come up with something.  Just a thought.  www.golanproducts.com/fuel_valves.html
