We are at the Texas Coast town of Sargent Texas.   We have a small fish camp here.   I made a huge pot of seafood gumbo last nite and we are having friends and neighbors over tonight.   There are always major fireworks here on the 4th of July.  Hope everyone has a great 4 th.

A friend of mine said " why do we have to pay taxes on fireworks that we buy to celebrate a holiday where we refused to pay taxes?...."

It was, “no taxation without representation “, but that’s really in question now! It’s still the best we have got.


Our family has no big plans but we will find a way to enjoy the day!

And remember the words in the "Declaration".

Kids today are unable to read it as it is in longhand

Not only that, but the way a person wrote each letter gave each word significance beyond just the word itself
