Not a Glock fan, prefer the good ole' 1911, in 45 caliber:

...and I REALLY hope someone's working on a .47 Caliber pistol to go on sale next year, I'd buy one!

Agree about the .45 (1911).  I loved my SIG 230 that I lost in a boating accident with my other firearms.

Assuming ammunition is still available.   But, I'll give you credit for being optimistic on both price and living that long.   Wink

Most folks who collect or who would collect this weapon are not worried about shooting it.  So, concern about ammiunition is not going to be a problem.   2funny

I have no doubts on your statement about collectors, it is simply beyond my thought processes to own a weapon and not have ammo for it (whether the intent is to use the weapon or not).   To each their own.

As a collector maybe, but not as a defensive or shooting weapon.  I do not want any real or arguable political agendas written on any working firearms.  I could have enough problems if I used one in self defense without giving some liberal DA a reason to argue I'm some fanatical nut or politically driven.  (None on my home or vehicles either, though I have a flag on my suburban home.)

I'm no Glock fan either.  I don't like the safety on the trigger.  I like an actual safety (to prevent me from shooting my own parts off).   Grin

Ammunition will always be available to those who load on a bench (and keep materials).  And stock up.
