When the opposition keeps telling their followers President Trump is "Literally Hitler", this is the kind of thing that has to be expected...

The President will be fine. He’s getting minor treatment right now. This will do nothing but guarantee his election. All the dirty plans the leftists have devised has backfired. This will solidify Trumps support!!

One Spectator killed, two more in critical condition.

I'm so confused, all this time I'm being told the "Right/Conservatives" were the one considered dangerous.

Edited: Reported that the SS Counter Strike team neutralized the shooter.  Apparently, the Shooter was outside the secured perimeter.  You gotta wonder who set that security up.

Michigan Republi blamed the attack on a "demonization" of Trump
The puppet they show on TeeVee has no platform at all cannot win - so he tells his mouth breather followers “ I am great uniter Trump is  Hitler  & must be destroyed”
Many Republicans quickly blamed the violence on Biden and his allies, arguing that sustained attacks on Trump as a threat to democracy have created a toxic environment. They pointed in particular to a

comment Biden made to donors on July 8:”it’s time to put Trump in the bullseye.”

AR15 @ 300 yards, sounds like a miracle shot!!!  Undecided

Not at all.  The first report indicated a semi-automatic 22 caliber.  Later report speculates AR15.

When I was active duty Marine our minimum range test (with M-16) was 200 yards, the max being 500 yards.  The bullseye on the target would be head sized.

There will be no consequences or even talk of consequences for the lawless lefties who absolute are responsible for this. Biden is a thousand times more responsible for this than Trump was purported to be for Jan 6. Yet, nothing will happen

Biden very recently said it’s time to put Trump in the crosshairs. Sure he’ll say that was figuratively. But as charged and divided the country is any conscious person would know that was a dangerous thing to say.

Indeed, 300 yards wouldn't be incredible with an AR...

Initial reports are there was an "AR Style Rifle" recovered with the shooter on his rooftop.

Shooter's rooftop was (Again, this is initial reports, time will bring clarity) was in the 150 yard range from President Trump...

Hoo Rah - Highly doubtful m16 was used here Oswald pretty sure m16 barrel is substantially longer tha ar assault rifles

No.  The M-16 is a version of the AR15.  Barrels are likely exactly the same length.  (The M-16 was not a long barreled rifle.)

Reports varied from 22 semi-auto to AR15.  Distance reported also varies from 200 to 400 yards.

Watching the details on Newsmax it looked like it might not have been 300yds.  Could have been half that. There’s really no excuse for that position to have been ignored. The secret service usually stakes out any possible shooting location in advance and there wasn’t many. Just this one cluster of buildings. I think  someone is in deep doodoo.

Ok.  I'll start the conspiracy theories.  Eye witness tries to alert SS and police of shooter on roof with a rifle.  Yet, SS and police do not respond until after Trump is shot, and kill the shooter.  I think Hillary and Biden found a patsy, like Oswald, that would assassinate Trump and then the SS snipers would take the shooter out.  Would have worked if dude was a better shot.

Edited to correct auto correct F-ups.^^^^

It’s obvious this is the outcome the Biden handlers have been hoping for. It’s no secret they have been trying to revoke Donald Trumps security. Then they call him a clear and present danger, Hitler even. They must be disappointed the sniper missed. So sad for America today.

No excuse at all.  WTF?  They're currently saying 130 yards.  WTF?  It's difficult to believe they would missed that threat location with a direct site line to the stage.  Especially when a bystander pointed out the dude on the roof.  I guess the spectators (cultists) were considered expendable.

I hope 45th gets better soon.

It is unacceptable someone trying to kill a former POTUS.

Now, it is clear to me that the Secret Service has some serious explaining to do. How the heck weren't all buildings around the rally area cleared out and with security people stationed?

Why they ignored the reports by people of a man with a rifle on a roof top?

NY Post says it has identified the shooter as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks

He’s from the area and a registered Republican, however “ The shooter made one singular $15 donation to the liberal ActBlue political action committee on January 20, 2021 — Biden’s Inauguration Day, the Intercept reported.”

I consider myself a good shot but have never handled ar so in my mind it was a & will remain a miracle shot  that most here can easily accomplish blindfolded  coolsmiley

The miracle is that the shooter missed.

This event has most likely assured that Donald Trump will WIN the election!

Hitting a silhouette target @ 300 meters with an M16 using iron sights is very easy to do.

There is NO EXCUSE for that rooftop not being covered by a good guy.

so much makes no sense

I have been to 3 Trump rallies

It is inconceivable how a person 150 yards away on a roof was missed between the drone coverage, the local leo and secret service

The response time from when a person reported the sniper to SS and no response

The head of SS Kim    what a fubar  DJT was safer in the south Bronx

The shot grazing POTUS not doing greater harm

The shooter being killed "neutralized" so no intel could be taken

The failure of Biden and his camp to apologize for their hate rhetoric that perhaps led the young man to commit the heinous act

My prayers as always for DJT and our law enforcement and our nation

I don't think the shooter just up and did this on his own.  How does a 20 yo loser from an hour away from the site know this rooftop 150 yards from Trump, would be unoccupied, and how does he get into position with all the security unless he was"assisted".  With what has gone on with the weaponization of our government agencies, I can't believe the shooter acted on his own.  I believe he was recruited and given a pass, and the plan was to take him out after he shot Trump to silence him.  Hillary had people killed for a lot less.  She just recruited a lousy shot.

I have seen one video that shows the two government riflemen on their roof position, both sighting in on the direction of the shooters position, seconds before the first shots rang out. Make of that what you will.

Far too many things about this shooting are F U B A R and bordering on insanity by what is Supposed to be D J Ts "security detail"! Also COMPLETELY Agree with Skinhead on the shooter having assitance. BUT again as a WAG the "security detail" was most likely assigned. I'm trying to NOT call out the Secret Service on loyalty issues BUT even seeing the "news reports" yesterday lotsa "stuff" ain't addin up. While I was NOT there once the shooter was found could the shooter have been taken with out with out lethal force? Or were standing orders eleiminate any threat? Course us mere regular folks most likely Will NEVER KNOW THE TRUTH! And Thank GOD Donald J. Trump is still Alive!  cooldude May the folks behind this shooting forever burn in hell. RIDE SAFE.

I saw that as well and, if you see it again, pay close attention to their body positions and moves.  Especially after what appears to be "shot being fired".

Easy with some practice.

Assuming Trump's wound was a bullet and not some shrapnel, the shooter did hit his target.

An inch, inch and half different, and it could have been fatal.

The randomness of life.

And Trump's and our very good luck.

Secret Service will need a house cleaning.

I’m sure they were understaffed and trying to rely on local PD . . . but really, no excuse.  The shooter was climbing up the backside of that building and angled roof, so the good guys didn’t see him till he would have exposed himself for his shot, probably seconds there.  Shooter got off one fairly accurate shot and then shot wildly in to the crowd before the snipers open up on him.

This was the work of an amateur assassin, that just got lucky on the poor performance Secret Service detail that was working that day.

Secret Service had a poor plan for protection, just unbelievable such ineptness.

Would have been hard to miss!  She also drew and (barely) holstered her pistol at least a couple times, and almost tripped once.  I'm not saying I'd have done better but more training seems advisable, or maybe finding a better employment "fit".
