Beautiful ride this morning

Cooler (70s) and full clouds meant time for a ride.
Took my favorite back roads route with almost no traffic.
Came by a great big car show out in the sticks, and stopped and talked with fellows about the same cars I had owned (69 SS396 Chevelle droptop, 69 Corvette droptop, and a 69 GS Buick). Few bikes, but only one (my) Valkyrie, and got some very nice cudo's on it too.
There was not supposed to be any rain. Liar, liar pants on fire. I got wet. Which was not cold; it's not the wet, it's not even the slippery, it's the
blind
that gets me in rain. I need glasses to drive/ride (the DMV insists on it) and when those get fouled it's hard to see (half helmets only).
I had not been to a big car show since I left CA in 1992 (Pomona County Fairgrounds). I once even got a 2d place for my 69 Vette (sold when I left CA to become a civilian). Real nice people, families and kids. I had fun.

Good to hear the heat broke and you got out Jess!
The last 2 weeks up here have seen +90* temps and wicked humidity daily. I’ve been going out for a scoot early and back home in the a/c before noon.
I just bought a Honda 1800 VTX from a friend that can’t ride any longer. Sad, but I guess we’ll all be there someday. It’s been sitting for 4 years, got it all ready for a sticker today.

Sounds like Florida. There’s one sure way you can tell it’s guaranteed to rain. That would be any time it’s not raining

It was a beautiful day in eastern Kentucky, which I spent pressure washing my sidewalks and two driveways. I have so many honeydo’s I’ve just about given up on cruising around this summer whether on two wheels or four. If I wasn’t such a tightwad, I’d just hire some jobs done, but old habits die hard.

What I do with my walks and (lots of) concrete, I wait for a day where there will be light rain and drizzle all day. Then I get out my 2gallon pump sprayer and add one gal outdoor bleach and one water, and then go around and spray all the concrete. As long as bleach stays wet, it keeps working (thus the wet weather day). You don't want any hard rain which will wash it all away, just drizzle/sprinkles and intermittent light rain to keep the bleach working. And bleach does not damage concrete.
No scrubbing and little work (other than pumping the sprayer), and I get clean white concrete (and a few dead worms). Bad stains may take a couple applications.
The problem with pressure washing concrete is burning off the smooth top and exposing the fine stony aggregate underneath, which just holds dirt and stains easier, and gets dirty more quickly in time.
Edit: Of course, it depends on the power (gas vs electric) and tip (narrow or wide) you are using as well.
