I just got this: https://www.accessoryinternational.com/product/corbin-vsb-classic-solo-seat.html
Although they are listed in Florida, it shipped from California, probably direct from Corbin. A new one was a bit cheaper than shipping my old seat to Corbin, having them rebuild it, and paying to ship it back. A I doesn't charge shipping!
Note that the listing is for the seat only, but you can call and order accessories, like a back rest.

Mine was cracked, too, which is why I wanted to recover it.
Anyone want one that is old and cracked? Cheesy

Yeah, you're probably right re. the use of "saddle" but wrong about trolls. The usual definition of trolls is someone that purposely posts something to denigrate or irritate, done deliberately to upset others. Obviously that wasn't my intention.

Now a bit of personal history re. Corbin...I took advantage of their services many years ago with issues in my GW "saddle" ( Wink) when it started to break apart after only a few months use so I returned it under warranty. All done through the Daytona location since at the time I lived in Orlando. After a couple months I questioned where the seat was and it was nowhere to be found...so admitting an issue on the company's part they issued a refund with the intention of ending our relationship and I went back to using my original seat & backrest. Came home from work about two months later and there was a big Corbin box on the front porch. It was my seat, all newly recovered and pristine, along with an explanation. Seems an employee had been ripping off the company by catching some returns and not logging them in, then reselling them. I was able to do some checking on my own and found this joker had been doing it for some time and made a pretty good haul financially. He also got some free room and board for an extended period.

I was going to send mine to Corbin (in California) to be recovered, as it had started to split. I would have to pay shipping both ways, on top of the $345 for their work. Shipping from here would total about $320 (estimated), so it was cheaper to buy new. The old one is now in the box, if anyone wants to pay shipping. I, obviously, no longer need it taking up space.

Carman Allen, the guy that did my seat leatherwork, might be interested in you old seat. If you're ok with it I'll ask him, he's in the Ft. Worth area. I would pay the shipping for him.

If he wants it, he can have it. At least Ft. Worth isn't as far as So. Cal., so shipping one way should be a lot less than $160.
Except for the cracking leather, the basic structure seems fine. I have pics, top bottom and cracked side, if he wants to see them.
