Here's a deal for ya.

In time for Fall (the season, that is) riding, these are fiberglass helmets that are true-to-size and reasonably priced.  I find mine to be quiet and comfortable.

To everything there is an exception.

GMax are very compliant to true fit whether its 3/4 or full face but definitely a round head fit vs HJC elongated fit in full face. Just saying from my experience. Has a flip down visor but hits my nose thus not in use. Very breathable Cool Max replaceable lining. No hot head with this brand.

I found a outlet in Indy that had a great selection helmets thus fitment was available and they had the Gmax at a reasonable price. Definitely need to physically fit a helmet. BTW I did find Bell helmets were too small in comparison to Gmax and HJC in FF variants.

Some heads are round and some are oval.

I can never get a decent fit without in person try-on.

So many are made overseas and in Asia where sizing in everything is always suspect.

I have had different size helmets over the years, and my head stopped growing some time ago.

I go to the biggest bike gear store around and try to get a good fit.  If I find a good fit in something I like, I leave and go home and shop it on line for best price (delivery yada), and either get it that way, or go back to the store and buy it.  But my store prices can usually be beat.

Scorpion is the best fitting helmet I've ever had.  The Bell I have now is almost as good.

Yeah, I have a big head too (7 3/8).

Last year when I had my 1st get off while underway in some 30 years (slow, but hard), some of my slide was only on my head.  My favorite helmet ever (Scorpion) was seriously trashed, and they stopped making it.

I have a row of old helmets on a shelf in my bike shed (going back a long time).  Most are not a good fit.  A couple are still good.  And a couple 3/4 helmets for colder weather.

I now only wear good DOT halfs, but they need to have a zip off neck curtain for colder weather, and a bill, and I like the little shorty internal flip down sun visors (mostly to keep my prescription glasses clean in rain).

My current Bell Pit Boss.

I bought a red, wildly painted dragon head full face helmet a few years ago, but those things always give me claustrophobia.  So I've only ever worn it twice, in the cold.

Something like this:

Thanks man, but I already have 2 3/4 helmets and almost never wear them.

And I want a visor, but hate three-snap visors;  they may be tight for awhile, but soon enough they rattle all day and irritate me greatly.

Here's a real winner of a helmet visor.  Grin

Now if they made a good MC helmet in this paint scheme, I'd have one.

Just fitted a new Shoei Helmet RF1400 for son. I have a small and a large shell with the different mm cheek pads and top head pads so we could fit it properly before he bought a new helmet.  A properly fitted helmet makes all the difference when riding.

Over here in Germany one has to wear this Helmet, especially riding East.  Grin

And yes, it is a certified, but rare Motorcycle Helmet.
