With some sadness I'm part exchanging my treasured Valkyrie for a brand new Honda Goldwing dct Tour.
The new bike is not cheap and I needed to put the Valkyrie towards it.
Everyone who has ever sold one has always regretted it and I'll be the next one to feel that way, no doubt.
I went around Spain on it in June and in the years I've had it it has never let me down.
I've never had a bike that has attracted so much attention.  I often find people gathered around it and they are amazed when I tell them it's twenty six years old.
But, I'm really excited about my latest addition,  which will be arriving on Thursday. It's white with the black engine and exhausts.
I'll miss the Valk. It's probably the best bike I've owned.
I won't miss having to strip the carbs every now and then though. I think the fuel injection on the Goldwing will be something to look forward to for a change, amongst all the other goodies.
This has been a wonderful, friendly forum.
Thank you, from across the pond.

I understand the economics.  (I sold 3 bikes in quick succession once, and no regrets)

But find out what you will get for it before making a final decision.

Curious what you're getting for it. Valks only really have value to the owner here in the States. I got my interstate for $3500 last October and after rebuilding the carbs, replacing the tires and a bunch of other stuff I'm in it for at least $5000 and would be lucky to get that out of it.

Congrats, I'd love to somehow squeeze a new Wing into my budget but don't think that'll ever be in my cards.  A stormtrooper model even!  Now ya just need to get yourself one of these to complete the look.

That's a cool looking helmet  cooldude

Knapdog, you're going to love your new ride.

I'm a member of Gl1800riders.com and it's a good site, but nothing like the family feeling and getting your hands in oil and grease, as this site.

Course, VRCC is like 25 years old Roll Eyes
