Just purchased OEM timing belts from Honda.  On both belts one tooth has 6 wire strands exposed for about 1/8 of an inch in the direction that the belt runs.  Has anyone else seen this? Will post a picture as soon as I learn how. Thanks for your time.

Take them back for refund. Buy Gates belts from an auto supply store. Use left over money to buy more stuff for your Valk.  2funny

When I replaced the timing belts on Phatt Ghurl my Former 99 I/S I went with Gates Belts due to what I'd read here and the rather largish price differential tween Gates and Mother Honda. But NOT just price as Performance wise Gates belts I M O have Proven themselves up to the task.  cooldude With an interference engine one dare Not even consider BELT FAILURE! Also had prior use of Gates Products while Driving 18 wheeler all over AMERICA and 2 Canadian Provinces. RIDE SAFE.
