That is where I was heading too. God gives man everything (Genesis), man sins, God tells man how to do it right (New Testament), man sins, God gives man a warning (Revelations), man doesn't get it and sins, God takes it back. Geeze, sounds like a lesson I would have pointed out to my kids!!!!! When do we get it right and take care of the gifts God gave us?
