Trust me no one would like to poke Al Gore in the eye more than me, however I don't think it is legitimate to do it over the Global Warming debate.  Even with the disclosure of fraudulent treatment of some of the global warming data (Climategate), there is still credible evidence that the earth is getting warmer.

I saw an interview just this past weekend with well know physicist, Dr. Michio Kaku about this very subject.  The only debate is how much is due to natural, cyclical fluctuations and how much of it is due to the greenhouse effect caused by humans.

How do we debate all the lies of the Left. They said out of the last 150 years, they don't trust the measurements that the records show now as accurate from the past ?. 100 years from now this will be some good comedy, and if they cant rely on the last 150 years from data, what the ----is their basis for the last 5000.00 years? The sad part is using the space program for Global cooling, My Father would roll over in his grave if he heard this.

I think we agree on more things than we disagree, however I patently disagree with the assertion that "only the creator can change the creation".  Naturally occurring Uranium is a natural creation and in its natural state rather benign, even makes a nice coloration for different types of glass.  However when man decides to vaporize it, run it through a centrifuge and separate out it's lighter isotopes....it is not the same stuff that the creator gave us.  It is very unstable and deadly.

We have managed to do this in other aspects of our environment.  Once again, I certainly don't subscribe to much of what Al Gore says, as matter of fact, I think he is largely a horses ass.  However, there is evidence that what he is saying about global warming is true...we just don't know if it is cyclical aberration,  man made or both.

The news story had a link to the report that spawned it.  The climate temperature sensor above the gas grill was an awesome picture.  The one surrounded by blacktop was nearly as funny.
Reminds me of trying to skip school by holding the thermometer against a lightbulb.  Mom figured it out as my temp was 150 degrees!  (just kidding, made that up).

Also, they have been recording temps for 150 or so years.  How old is the earth, again?  150 years is a drop in the terrestrial time bucket.

Did anyone notice that right after climatgate exposed the hoax that the E.P.A declared CO2 to be a toxic gas ? We can't have something like the truth get in the way of the agenda. I've been hearing that a carbon tax is being implemented at the state level. I wish this was only about money which is bad enough but it's just as much about control of every aspect of life. If we let them take it this far all our thermostats will be controlled by the Government and we'll have a green police. Alot of countries already have a green police. It's a well known fact that the planet was in a cooling period from the 1940s through the 1970s. It's also a well known fact that man made CO2 dramatically increased over the same period. Do you really think that there's one climatologist that isn't aware of that. Big Als famous line " The debate is over " What a joke !!! How could there have ever been a debate over something so easily debunked. They aren't gonna back off. They're just gonna bypass congress. Hang on to your wallets and keep your powder dry. I hope they've under estimated how important freedom is to Americans. There's a line in the sand at my front door. No green inspections, no green police and no unwarranted searches of any kind while i'm still breathing.

Al Gore? we all know by his dirty jet he is a Joke, the only award he should have is best actor. The EPA will impose and has already done, what they cant do through Copenhagen, without any Congressional oversight, does Not seem Constitutional!! As far as the Modern day Scientist discovering how the World works? well we are still using combustible engines LOL!!! the small block Chevy is still a marvel, Have we really come so far, Sorry i expected so much more from Science than what i have seen in my 50+ years. Still think if they tell ya their is water on the back of your neck someone is peeing on ya. The scientist spend way to much time in a dark room.

The link that bsnicely posted has another link within it that has all of the climate gate emails. It's way to large to read just for amusement.

I am not a scientist, I normally tend to trust those that are highly educated in their respective fields, like doctors, engineers, etc.  BUT the global warming geeks crossed the line when they moved from science to politics. They lost all credibility with myself and most of the general public.

Since the emails became public, I have actively campaigned against them and will continue to do so. I have no use for someone that lies to me in an attempt to force their own agenda. Not to mention the fact that the cap and trade energy credits would force this country into bankruptcy even faster than the track we are on right now.

Some places are already charging farmers a " fart tax " on their cattle.....    Angry     They would tax you for the breath you inhale and exhale if they could get a meter on your nose.....

Chances are good that wherever you are reading this from was once under many feet of snow. Perhaps once under an ocean, perhaps part of a jungle or desert. You can be sure that wherever you are, at one time it wasn’t a very hospitable place. And you can be sure that at some point in the future it again won’t be.

For humans to accept blame or credit for these changes is must like our ancestors belief that the universe revolved around the earth. Which was really their way of saying they believed everything revolved around us.

Much like a flea on the ass of a charging buffalo who believes the hunter shoots at him.  Then along comes Al Gore and sells the flea camo so the hunter can’t see him. That makes Al dishonest if he knows better and just another flea salesman if he doesn’t. And of course much like the earth, the buffalo doesn’t give a crap.

Glen Beck for President!

It is all about tax, money & control.

This just in: (sorry it's long, it needs to be)

What  is a billion?

How many zeros in a billion?

This is too true to be funny..

The next time you hear a politician use the
word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about
whether you want the 'politicians' spending
 YOUR tax money.

A billion is a difficult number to comprehend,
but one advertising agency did a good job of
putting that figure into some perspective in
 one of it's releases.

 A.
A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

 B.
A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

 C.
A billion hours ago our ancestors were
 living in the Stone Age..

 D.
A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.

 E.
A billion dollars ago was only
 8 hours and 20 minutes,
 at the rate our government
 is spending it.

While this thought is still fresh in our brain...
let's take a look at New Orleans ..
It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division.

 Louisiana Senator,
 Mary Landrieu (D)
 is presently asking Congress for
250 BILLION DOLLARS
to rebuild  New Orleans . Interesting number....
 what does it mean?
A.
Well... if you are one of the 484,674 residents of  New Orleans
 (every man, woman, and child)
 you each get $516,528.

 B.
Or... if you have one of the 188,251 homes in
New Orleans , your home gets$1,329,787.

 C.
Or... if you are a family of four....
 your family gets $2,066,012.

Washington , D. C

  HELLO!
Are all your calculators broken??

 Building Permit Tax
 CDL License Tax
 Cigarette Tax
 Corporate Income Tax
 Dog License Tax
 Federal Income Tax (Fed)
Federal Unemployment Tax (FU TA)
 Fishing License Tax
 Food License Tax

 Gasoline Tax
 Hunting License Tax
 Inheritance Tax
 Inventory Tax
IRS Interest Charges (tax on top of tax)
IRS Penalties (tax on top of tax)
 Liquor Tax
 Luxury Tax
 Marriage License Tax
 Medicare Tax
 Property Tax
 Real Estate Tax
 Service charge taxes
 Social Security Tax
 Road Usage Tax (Truckers)
 Sales Taxes
 Recreational Vehicle Tax
 School Tax
 State Income Tax
 State Unemployment Tax (SUTA)
 Telephone Federal Excise Tax
Telephone Federal Universal Service Fee Tax
Telephone Federal, State and Local Surcharge Tax
 Telephone Minimum Usage Surcharge Tax

 Telephone Usage Charge Tax
 Utility Tax
 Vehicle License Registration T ax
 Vehicle Sales Tax
 Watercraft Registration Tax
 Well Permit Tax
 Workers Compensation Tax

(And to think, we fought British Rule to avoid so many taxes)

 STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago...
and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.

We had absolutely no national debt...
We had the largest middle class in the world...
and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

 What happened?
 Can you spell 'politicians!'

 And I still have to
 press '1'
 for English.

The earth was warmer during Medieval time. And as I posted here a few weeks ago, the Vikings I believe it was actually used the northern passage to sail to the upper reaches of North America. Seems things were a bit warmer a few hundred years ago than now, must have been all the farting those oarsmen did. Darn sure wasn't all the cars, trucks, planes and trains they had back then.

No, no...THAT was in the mid-70's. Remember the same pop science and linear assumptions were going on then for "global cooling" and we were bringing on the next ice-age.

Oh, and the "Population Bomb" was some good crack-science at the time too.

These are very different, one or both of them must be very wrong...

The above uses data from a single source.

The above uses data from many places.

The following graphs seem similar in the region where they overlap... makes me wonder
what events caused the abrupt spikes...

I think they can derive the temperature from evidence of UV damage on the mummified remains of various creatures, e.g. "monkey sunburn".  The end results have proven highly accurate: plus or minus 6.5°C

Plus or minus 6.5C??  That's a 13 degree swing.  Considering the graph only goes from about -9 to about +3  (which is only a 12 degree swing), I must wonder about that accuracy.  Wink

Trust me no one would like to poke Al Gore in the eye more than me, however I don't think it is legitimate to do it over the Global Warming debate.  Even with the disclosure of fraudulent treatment of some of the global warming data (Climategate), there is still credible evidence that the earth is getting warmer.

The only debate is how much is due to natural, cyclical fluctuations and how much of it is due to the greenhouse effect caused by humans.

The earth cools, then it warms, then it cools again.  That is just nature.  If it is warming or cooling I do not believe it has anything to do with man. Using this logic suggests that DDT had nothing to do with the thinning bird populations.  Sorry, but it did, and man has the ability to destroy that which God blessed us with.  We are the stewards of this earth according to the bible and have full responsibility to take care of it.  Our reward or consequence is delivered on Judgement day for our contributions, good or bad.

 1 John 2:15-17

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever  does the will of God abides in the father............one should not use the scriptures to Judge his brothers it never works  Wink
