I haven’t bored you guys lately with worthless information about Corvette developments so I thought I’d share this little tidbit. The 2025 ZL1 Corvette has an official top speed of 233 mph running just as it comes from the factory in Bowling Green Kentucky. They claim it to be fastest car ever produced by an American car maker.

I may not have heard this correctly but, I'm pretty sure the ZL1 is a hybrid. Feel free to correct me if I got this wrong. Rams

It’s like the old adage, racing improves the breed. Everything has to be better at 200 mph. I don’t think I would feel comfortable going 200+ on anything less than a closed course like Daytona or Talladega and even then comfortable probably wouldn’t be the right term.

Realizing we're different folks, I've been close to 170 mph when I did the Richard Petty NASCAR school and thought at the time I was pretty confident in my driving skills. While I did do it, I will admit my heart rate was way up there and my attention span was tested. No desire to do it again but, I'd still like to take that ride to the ISS. Rams
