I have lots of old electronic devices & computers that I no longer use.

I have been cleaning things out and I finally decided that my Xbox and Playstation are things I no longer need.

So, since they are very old, they probably are not really worth much but I was wondering if there was a place that might wish to have them for "history" or other reasons.

So, can anyone recommend a group or organization that I should contact.

Thanks

There are folks that collect vintage computers but really things like Xboxes and Playstations were so plentiful, odds are low anyone would want them for a collection (Not trying to be mean).

Once I've removed personal information (Which if they're old enough, that might not even be an issue) I donate such things to Goodwill. They'll either resell 'em or sell 'em to scrappers to remove the precious metals from 'em; either way you get a tax writeoff and get 'em out of your hair...

Thanks.   Goodwill is an option.  Will redo the hard drives even thought I know it won't really "erase" the information, just make it harder to "read".

If you wanna get slightly paranoid, could always set up a DBAN (Darik's Boot and Nuke) bootable CD or Thumb Drive, pull the HD out and put it on a computer, boot DBAN and nuke it to DOD standards, then put it back...

https://sourceforge.net/projects/dban/

...or what I do, take the hard drives out, harvest the rare earth magnets (Hard drives (The spinning rust kind) have a pair of SUPER powerful magnets in 'em you can have all kinds of fun with) then use the platters as reactive targets at my range...

I got rid of my "computer museum" when we were packing to move to Kansas City in 2018, same with all the software on 5.25 and 3.5 inch floppy disks. Don't even remember what we did with it...
