Where to begin...? For starters, let me just mention that our girl continues to receive notice and flattering compliments from folks who happen by and cast their gaze upon that awesome Valkyrie. Naturally, the impressive power plant nearly always receives observations of awe and disbelief at such a huge engine aboard a two-wheeled vehicle. Kudos are also due to Honda for the unbelievably durable finish each such ride has. Her sparkle and shine continue to amaze even her own rider after all these years (25+). Having been recently detailed by Barbo certainly has resulted in a noticeable uptick in the amount of praise being received.

Mention should also be made of the ongoing recovery of this rider. Yep, a few weeks ago a little boo-boo involving our girl led to an unusual series of events and circumstances that have brought us to this stop along the way to Montgomery, AL, and the next round of routine doctor visits. The ankle is still a bit tender and stiff but improving daily. Riding has definitely contributed to the recovery as everybody knows how wind therapy is good for whatever ails us. While the prognosis is for a full recovery, it will apparently require a bit more time for working out all the remaining kinks...

Regarding wind therapy, this rider continues to apply measured doses of that tonic with all the benefits continuing to manifest themselves. Each time our girl is loaded and pointed down the road in some direction, a special lift soon comes over my being and a sense of well-being generally overtakes my spirit and mood. Even on a dark, damp, dreary day with less than ideal temps and humidity, an irrepressible goober grin magically appears on my face soon after KSU, and a joy found no other way envelops my immediate world.

We've arrived in Montgomery again, so thoughts about where to next are already starting to crop up. I'm torn between renting an Airbnb someplace for a week or two, or to just go wandering around some and seeing what comes across our path. It's been a year or two since our last visit to Arizona, so that is predictably always a very real option. I reckon I'll just have to muster some patience and do some more pondering... I don't want to start down that slippery slope of 'planning' but being a direction-less vessel does leave a void in one corner of the thinker muscle... So... here I sit... pondering...
