I have several Henry Rifles. My latest purchase is a Homesteader 9mm. It came with a 5 and 10 round magazine. There is a magazine well adapter to convert it to my pistol magazine. I use Smith and Wesson 9mm. I ordered directly thru Henry Rifle in the Rice Lake Wi. facility. It only took a few minutes. After I received the adapter, I fitted the double stack mag to the adapter and It was loose. I did not install it in the rifle. When I called Henry , I got a woman that I must have woke up. She said something and hung up. I called back only to get her again and same thing. I called the next day , got someone different and she transferred me to tech support. This was the New Jersey factory. It went to voice mail and I was told I would receive a call back. Two days and no call back. I found the Rice Lake phone number and within two minutes had my replacement adapter to be sent out today. They had some defective adapters and he replaced it without and hesitation. Wisconsin Henry is on the job. da prez

I saw that rifle in the NRA magazine and it caught my attention. I like that it will use the same 9mil and mag as my Sig 365.
Have you shot it yet?
I've been contemplating getting one for home defense.

I like my Kriss Vector in .45acp. (with EOTech holosight, and light/laser) It has 30 rd mags, but takes standard Glock 21 13's too (flush fit in mag well). I keep a Glock 21 mag in it because 13 really ought to do it, and moving around inside the house/doorways with the long one could cause trouble. (multiple 30s are ready) That is a just a barrel shroud, not a suppressor. The stock folds down so it will go under a coat on a shoulder loop (not that I do that).

Hook , no , I have not fired it yet. I had a lot of issues since I bought it. O2S is coming to stay with me for a while. There is a range near by for rifles. I have three Henry's and they are fantastic rifles.

Thanks da pres, let us know how that range use goes, but I may get one before you do Jess, that thing will scare perps to death, you probably won't even need to waste a shot My nanny, over regulatory, misguided state has outlawed magazines with more than 10 capacity. Here's a lawyer question. If someone was to receive a more than 10 magazine and used it in a home defense way, in their home, that was otherwise correct, do you feel that person could be charged with violating that law? I talked with people that do not care what the law is when it comes to defending themselves, they will use a larger capacity magazine if needed and deal with the consequences. You know, just hypothetical inquiries, as I intend to follow all state regulations.

Me too, that's one reason I live in Texas.

If someone was to receive a more than 10 magazine and used it in a home defense way, in their home, that was otherwise correct, do you feel that person could be charged with violating that law?Absolutely he could be charged with a violation of state law. Possession could be one offense, and using it could be another offense (I dunno). If I lived where you did, I'd be researching all the cases I could find where the state had charged magazine limit laws. If I defended myself somewhere in your state with an over 10 magazine, you can be sure by the time the police arrived, it would only have a 10 or under magazine in it (with the number of shots I made subtracted). And the over 10 mag(s) would be under a rock somewhere. I've been following VA laws on knives for years. All kinds of very particular restrictions, size (length) OK here but not OK there (locations), open carry of machete's and Bowie knives is OK (not concealed), but not dirks and some others. Things I may have that used to be illegal are now legal (or I wouldn't even be talking about it).

Received the replacement mag adapter. It also is wrong. I tried it on the table , mag dropped out. Installed in the rifle , mag dropped out. Put a round in the mag , mag dropped out. Called Henry , left a message. Waited a couple days and no return call. Called and talked to a person that was clueless. Left another message after he (?) gave ne a direct line for tech. I called tech and got thru to a person I politely read them the riot act. They transferred me to another tech and I explained the issue. We verified the part numbers. He agreed there was an issue in the run of well adapters. He ordered a new well adapter from the new run. Including a hat as a sorry. Hope they come thru. I am going to see if these adapters will fit a Glock Mag. If so , I will have two available if someone gets a Henry.

I will say that the aftermarket extended mags for my Ruger 10-22 (2 - a 25 and a 30) do not work as well as the standard 10 round rotaries that come with the rifle. They work and fire OK, but they are a little wobbly and sometimes fight seating in the rifle correctly, but they will. I don't use or need them. I have 15s, 20s and 30s for my ARs, and they all work perfectly. If I ever actually need a 30 rd mag, it will be an AR .223, not a .22 long rifle. (We have very few marauding squirrel attacks where I live).

Also better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. Or ask forgiiveness V permission. RIDE SAFE.
