Im looking to clean up the back end of my Valk.  Plan on cutting down the rear fender, relocating the turn signals to possibly the chrome fender strut bar and getting a side mount license plate.  Id like to hear from guys who have done one or two of these mods and what parts did you use.  Especially for the rear signals and side mount license plate.  Pictures are appreciated.

"Clear Alternatives" makes a LED circuit board that fits within the Valk tailight housing that replaces the 1157 bulb and also includes orange LED turn signals. You must use a clear or smoke tailight lense that they also supply. Very bright and clean looking to boot!

Here's an old picture of mine...

Removed the entire turn assembly, and replaced with a Kury license frame with a 'Radianz' LED strip for the plate light.  Moved the turns to the bags (could have been on the fender), using wedge lights I purchased from J&P Cycles (they have many to choose from).

Is the Clear Alternatives that you refer to what you have on your bike?  Sounds like it could be a good option.  I need to find a side mount license plate setup also.  Anyone done that yet?

This is not my bike, my friend and one of his Valkyrie's. This is the only shot I've got, I requested more from the rear. I will post em when I get em. Chopped the fender and removed/relocated blinkers.

That is what I plan to do but I dont like how the rear fender sits up so high off of the rear tire.  Not sure if its the shocks he has or not.  Like to see how the license plate was mounted.  Must be mounted on the side.  Ive been reading that some states, especially Florida, are cracking down on vertical side mounted plates.  Not sure of the law in NJ though.  When mounted horizontally, it seems to stick out to far.  Something more I have to consider.

Yes, both the lens and the LED array are from CLEAR ALTERNATIVES.

Thats kinda funny I have the fender off my 03 Standard in the paint shop right now.Asked the man to fill in the turn signal mount holes on the rear fender so I could do away with the bulky turn signal and licence plate mount. Thought I would go with a curved plate mount and some small clean kury. turn signals. Thought I would be doing somthing a little different, but I guess its already been done. I have converted the bike to a solo and wanted a clean smooth look on the rear fender. But I think I better look into the clear alternative tailight turn signal set up.

I wanted a customized rear fender that looked stock so I used a VTXC backhalf, not an easy mod but the result was exactly what I wanted.
