Serk, Regan definitely had some of the all time comebacks/quotes, and his are among my favorites.  Here is another favorite of mine by Winston Churchill.  This one came as Churchill was leaving the House of Commons in 1946 while he was being harassed by Labor Party member Bessie Braddock for being intoxicated:

Braddock: Winston, you are drunk, and what's more, you are disgustingly drunk.

Churchill: Bessie, my dear, you are ugly, and what's more, you are disgustingly ugly. But tomorrow I shall be sober and you will still be disgustingly ugly.

It was my screen saver for many years.

Fortunately I was never shot at on purpose, but have had a couple range and trap/skeet incidents over the years that were closer than I liked.
