Hit high sunny 50s at noon and I had to go. The bike hadn't been fired in 45 days or so, and a lot of really frigid weather. On the battery tender 24/7 though, and she fired right up instantly on choke (good girl). The no ethanol I always run is good stuff, and I topped her up before leaving. Went 3.5 hours. Some of my twisty back roads were crummier than I'd hoped, but despite weaving around muddy water and ice, there was plenty of gritty slippery sand all over the place. Full leathers was just right, but the 20 knot winds make the big Interstate into a sailboat at times. I took a different route than normal and got a bit turned around and did a Uey when I saw a bunch of motorcycles parked in front of a building that turned out to be a new bike shop I'd never heard of. Met the owner, who is a former Marine and we hit it off instantly and traded stories. I stayed too long and got caught up in quitting time traffic, where I got to practice my slow rolling for a half hour. But not even that was going to spoil my happy ride. Wiped off the crud and put her to bed. A simple ride for a few hours raises my spirits greatly in dreary cold and boring Winter. 2 beers and I feel wonderful. Got to go now, time for number three (which is my limit).

Where I am right now its 65 degrees (well was at 3:00PM) but I had to travel here via my car. Otherwise I would have taken a ride. Been a while (over four weeks).
Good for you Jess.

Had my new 2 me 2012 G/W trike out fer just a bit. Had Every intention of gittin her registered and tagged today. Passed safety inspection with Flyin Colors. Title transfer could NOT be done which put the kybosh on tagging and registration! I now Know what I gotta did BUT it Will take awhile waitin on snail mail! But I Did manage about 6 or 7 miles and all I can add is She RIPS! And it has a Rather Healthy exhaust note! No where NEAR as loud as a H/D but NOT as quiet as stock! To say I are Ready to put some Serious miles on Is an UNDERSTATEMENT! RIDE SAFE.

I got out for a very short ride just to rotate the gas in the carbs. Only rode on the chipped roads to avoid the road salt and brine on the highways. Need a good rain before I can ride very far. Still worth it!

Was 71F when I left the house, but sadly in the cage. 90% chance of rain today, so no Valk commute. Hay Jimmyt They're predicting 23 straight hours of rain at my house starting midnight tonight. Marvelous. If it's not frigid zero windchills, snow and ice, it's Noah's flood. Our blizzard of snow and ice of two weeks ago, it still here though diminished, and hopefully the rain will melt the rest away. But it's already a great big mud hole everywhere (and at my house). I might have been able to get in another ride today, but the mission is now to prepare for a flood (gutters, drain ditches, etc). And fix the hole in my rowboat. We've had rain here a few times over the years, when I ended up with almost two feet of water at the foot of my backyard, and the storm drains on the street (I am lucky to have 2 on my corner) would take no more water and backed up over the sidewalks and yards. And a rowboat could actually float down the sides of the crowned streets. Usually days of rain, not one big one. Hopefully.

Temps up in the 50's to 60's but we got over 5 inches or rain in the last 24 hours.... Once that moves out, might get some smiles in, temps in the upper 60's to mid 70's with sunny skies predicted for the weekend...
Glad to hear you got some miles in!

My girl is tucked away. Temps have been creeping upwards, low 40’s which would be nice to put-put around however we haven’t had any rain and there’s still enough salt and salt dust everywhere and I’m not washing the bike in low 40’s. Yesterday winds were blowing at 20-30 and gusting up to 40.

There is a possibility I might get in my first ride of the year soon. I’m proud to announce that I have completed my project of replacing the flooring in my sons rental unit along with a water heater r&r, replacement of ceiling fans, and r&r of the dishwasher. I loaded up all my tools and brought them home Monday to reinforce the idea that my part is over (I hope). So when the opportunity presents itself I will be rolling the bike outside to see if I can still hold it up.
