Plane took off out of Philly and just minutes later crashed in a neighborhood. Loaded with fuel and oxygen tanks.

6 souls on board, 4 part of flight crew and mother and young daughter.

Daughter was here in states from Mexico for medical care, they were flying her home to Mexico, but were suppose to stop in Missouri to refuel.

I’m not posting any news links, use your favorite source, phots and videos are available pretty much anywhere.

A friend sent me one of his friends Ring doorbell footage (apparently they live just blocks away) with audio and it sounded like a missile coming in.

I saw the various "videos" of this crash on the news.  What bothered me about the videos was the almost totally downward trajectory of the aircraft and the speed at which it was going.

It appeared to be in a full power dive.  That is hard to fathom, for me, to be a "Pilot Error".

Again, I am not a pilot.  But I understand a little about the way an aircraft works.  To go nose down would seem to require a movement of a control and, like I said above, it appears there was no attempt to decrease the speed or bring the aircraft's nose up.

older jet, they stopped making them in '87. looks like a complete control systems failure, except the engines were still on takeoff throttle it seems from the decent speed, people in area reported they heard very loud jet engine noise. they were responding to the tower and then tower contacted them again, most likely when they started dropping, but there was zero response.   Cry

At first, due to the location of the craft as opposed to where ATC directed it, I thought the pilot may have stalled the aircraft turning too tightly.  A stall under power at 1600 feet would be very difficult to recover.  The video, though, appears as though the plane was afire while still in the air.

I wonder if the occupants were dead before impact.

With no other information that what has been provided, one should probably assume the aircraft was pilotless and under full power.   No idea why.
I don't believe either pilot was suicidal but, one never knows.

My thoughts on this one.

Medivac flight. Lots of medical stuff on board including oxygen tanks. If one of them had a substantial leak and made the cabin air oxygen rich, even a small ignition source would light them up.

It is clear from the videos, that the plane had some kind of explosion prior to the dive. Reports of oxygen tanks being found blocks away.

Just a theory, the plane, while at full take off throttle, explodes, pushing the pilots forward into the yoke causing the dive.

This was likely over the instant the plane had the fire.

I'm reminded of the Apollo 1 incident. Kind of along that idea.

We'll see what they find out.
