Anyone have ideas for destinations or recommendations of any routes in Arkansas for the spring?  First time with my wife 2 up in Arkansas.  We have no ideas what routes are best but we love to ride and EAT.  Probably going to trailer to AK and then ride once we get to Arkansas...

Howdy Russell!

There are LOTS of good roads in Arkansas.  Do a search for best motorcycle roads in Arkansas and settle in for lots of reading.

My suggestion is to route yourself up to Talihina, OK and then take the Talimena Scenic Drive to Mena, AR, and then work your way north on 71 to I-40 east a few miles to 23 (aka, The Pig Trail) north to Eureka Springs.  Eureka Springs is a great place to visit and spend the night.  If you make it that far north and west, you'll have lots of options to route yourself back south and east.

rivers 23,21,7,google Motorcycle arkansas, Queen Wilhelmena inn/hotel,the river floating in the spring is awesome-the mulberry river, the buffalo river also  if you catch the spring rains, eureka  springs loves to bust tourists , very petty parking infractions, best to have consumed little/no alcohol if going out on the town, they will write you up  for a 1/2 inch parking infraction. The deer are plentiful-do not ride when it gets dark,go slow and take it all in

Last May went with a group from Houston and stayed in Russelville Arkansas.  Good dailey ride starting point.  Just north of Russelville is some very good riding roads

This!  Talimena Scenic Drive is along the peak of the mountain range and is a very cool ride!  Highly recommended.  Disco and I have ridden this several times.

Russell, I've yet to get there. Hopefully I'll be using this tread if I finally convince my wife to make the trip. Using the link below you can down load the Arkansas Motorcycling Guide which seems pretty useful. It's hard to tell how many of their suggestions are advertisement, but it not only highlights the routes but adds places to stay, eat, sleep, and points of interest. If you like it, you can request a hard copy along with a state map for free. The booklet is a really nice little 4x7 book that's easy to pack on a motorcycle. You can also get the guide and map at any visitors information center.

https://www.arkansas.com/publications/motorcycling-guide?adara_campaignid=897138174&adarapixelid=436902&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA_NC9BhCkARIsABSnSTalaZ4YjsrpN6o7YE04aKvhRIVWSpD17I4A2U5De1Qhl4Fg747cFxUaAvVdEALw_wcB

I've also have a number of the Texas scenic route maps that are handed out for free at information centers (you have to ask for them, they keep them in the back). I'm really disappointed with the pre-highlighted routes on the Texas maps, but since they're small paper regional maps I pretty much just use them to start the process or take notes while on route. They're pretty much free throw away maps.

Yeah. That is pretty much the ride I took out of Waco a couple of months ago. But. Over to  Hwy 7  south of Russellville to Harrison. Then over to Hwy 23 and The Pig Trail. Arkansas is a wonderful ride. Where ever you go. I got my fill of hills and curves to last me the rest of my life. Be careful on those curves. You could meet yourself coming back.
