Recently told a restaurant mgr. to give me a different waitress because of what's represented in the picture. Her "adornment" was downright gross and I didn't want her touching my plates. Despite her physical build and appearance, she didn't have a tail or an udder so assumed she wasn't a bovine. The nose ring wasn't the only metal she sported, if she was ever struck by lightning her lips and ears would have been welded together.

I feel the same way John.  Studs (tongue and God knows where else), nose rings, random piercing, sleeve/neck tats, multiple earrings are a complete turnoff and just gross, and broadcast psychological/behavioral issues too (to me anyway) (self mutilation).  Yeah, I'm from an earlier era and am happy with that.

Everyone should absolutely be free to do whatever they want (within the law).  But don't expect my approval, or love.  The best I can do is tolerance (but mostly I just look the other way).

One other thing.  If that person and anyone in the kitchen are friends, better check your food for spit.

That is all.

Wow way to judge a book by its cover . .
I would expect more from a fellow of your age . .
She was prob excited to not have to feed your fat old ugly arse. . .

Btw i think its a less than flattering look also but i wouldnt think it would effect her ability to bring my food in a timely and professional manner . .

Every time I see one of those I want to ask if they realize those rings are for leading.

Or worse...

General rule of mine, if I have a problem with a server I'll either get up and just leave (If I've not accrued any financial responsibility to the establishment yet) or I'll just never come back.

Never complain about the people who will be behind closed doors with your food....

am with you on that nose rings and other piercings besides ears are not my cup of tea.  NOT liking that my 27 year old daughter got a nose piercing stud on top side of nose either I told her I think is disgusting/ugly looking.

The other big thing younger generation is doing a LOT of is tattoos.  2 coworkers age 30 and 28 have several tattoos on arms.legs, etc. and that is a huge thing they are doing nowadays as well.

Not a fan of such piercings, don't think it is in anyway attractive but, it's not my body.

Reference the waitress, I most likely would not have asked for another waitress if I was that bothered by the "jewelry", but I would have told the manager on my way out the door before ordering why I was leaving.  There have been situations when I was not "comfortable" with what I saw in a restaurant and did exactly that.   Was once in a Waffle House watched the cook sneeze without turning away from the grill and didn't cover his face in any way.   I immediately left after telling the manager in front of all the customers.   Several got up and left behind me.  Somewhat of a different situation but, just shows, there are other ways to handle it.

Hey Rams, was that the one that used be in Crawfordsville or in the South. Recently ate at the one at Foley Beach Alabama all was good but a mature staff.  cooldude We had one until early 90's in Lafayette which like C'Ville was a substantial size not like the mini's down South.

I see nose rings as deterrent for hogs from rooting around in harder soils/fence lines as we raised ours "free range" in the day but...

I assume that was directed at me. To quote "judge a book by its cover"...so it's kinda like what your post is doing since you don't know me or anything about me. You weren't there so didn't see the less than sanitary action this young woman demonstrated, leaving the dregs of her nose blowing hanging on the rather large ring. As for my old ugly arse, I think it's in pretty good shape considering all the sh!t its been through over the years.  Wink

Sadly, it's become very pervasive..... My favorite Army soldier has a pierced tongue (Although she usually takes it out before coming to visit as she knows I don't care for it, but I also respect her right to do whatever to her own body, doesn't mean I have to like it.), and also has many, MANY tattoos.... Even picked up a few while deployed in Poland...

Times change, doesn't mean I hafta like it though.....

“Not touching” is advisable; Billy’s a tough Detroit guy & we all love him!
Theresa once grabbed him by the beard, the way she does me to get attention. Trish was not happy about messing with him  Angry

Yes, it was posted by a long time friend and riding bud back in Florida where I lived for over 50 years. All this snow makes me wish I was still back there. The picture reminded me of a personal experience. Re. Asheville, I recall that "ceremony" when Bruce got his bike back, but been too long for me to recall the faces of all those I met.

Having gone through prostate cancer treatment(not a treat) 5 years ago, my ass is off limits to doctors. No exceptions!  Grin
