Got out at 7:30 this morning to clean up the crappy winter mix we got. I'm sure that many of you got the same at your house. When I got out, there was 4 inches of snow on the ground and it was sleeting. As the clean up progressed the sleet changed to rain and the clean up got a bit more complicated. I only clogged the snow blower shoot once, so it wasn't too bad.  I was able to get the drive and walk ways relatively glop-free.

It's supposed to rain heavy here this afternoon. I expect the rain will remove the remaining glop from the cleaned surfaces, which is good. It's going to get very cold over the next few days so any remaining glop is going to freeze up like cement.

40 to 50 mph wind gusts are expected in my area the next few days. Our trees are not covered with ice, so hopefully that lowers then chance of wind-driven power outages. I'm hoping all you guys are safe and will weather the next few days with no power outages.

Take care.

Snow started here @ 9am, and stayed snow until late afternoon. We received 4 maybe 5 inches before it turned to sleet...Within a couple hours it changed to freezing rain...Luckily it changed to just rain before too much ice could collect on tree limbs.....Now just waiting for the 40 to 50 mph winds ....

I'll get the tractor out Monday and clean driveway and mailbox..

Some time overnight the rain changed back to snow...Close to 2 inches of fluffy snow on top of the sleet / hail / frozen rain ....  I can hear Lil' Blu chomping at the bit, wanting to get out and play in the snow this morning...

Have fun cleaning the mess with the tractor! Much more fun than using the snow blower.

cooldude  Our driveway (3 vehicles deep and 2 wide), neighbor's driveway (will hold 15 to 18 vehicles), and both mailboxes...Lil' Blu didn't want to go back in the pole barn..

I have to back drag our driveway out to the road, then scoop up and dump off to the side...If not for the wind, it wasn't all that cold out there...
I need a cab and heater on my next tractor... Roll Eyes
