Got out at 7:30 this morning to clean up the crappy winter mix we got. I'm sure that many of you got the same at your house. When I got out, there was 4 inches of snow on the ground and it was sleeting. As the clean up progressed the sleet changed to rain and the clean up got a bit more complicated. I only clogged the snow blower shoot once, so it wasn't too bad. I was able to get the drive and walk ways relatively glop-free.
It's supposed to rain heavy here this afternoon. I expect the rain will remove the remaining glop from the cleaned surfaces, which is good. It's going to get very cold over the next few days so any remaining glop is going to freeze up like cement.
40 to 50 mph wind gusts are expected in my area the next few days. Our trees are
not covered with ice, so hopefully that lowers then chance of wind-driven power outages. I'm hoping all you guys are safe and will weather the next few days with no power outages.
Take care.
