I am either too stupid or too smart to figure out that burnout video. What happened? Did he have the parking brake on? How can he not know his tires werent spinning? He couldnt feel the rear end? Was he feathering the clutch? Is this Vette to hi tech to allow the tires to break loose.Too much grip with those $600 tires? How can this be done to the clutch? Someone splain it please.
BTW, I have done my share of burnouts back in the 70's.
From what I can tell, if you watch the video, when he initially hits the gas, the car lurches forward and the guy jams on the brakes, effectively doing a "brake stand". My guess is that he was trying to brake stand a car like you could do back in the 70's when the rear's had drum brakes, except this car has 4 wheel disc, the rear wheels having 12" rotors, with high performance calipers.. So, instead of spinning wheels, he locked up his drivetrain, and the engineered weakest link failed.
