Having enough money that you do not do work yourself. I do not know many, if any, white collar workers that get dirty and do the stuff themselves. We have been paid by a guy to hang pictures in his house cause he didn't know how or want to. I agree with Raymond, if this is what he means.

What gets me, is the car companies are spending millions to meet federal emmission standards, and adding costs to your vehicle so it can detect a 0.020" leak in your evaporative emmission system ( basicly to detect a leak in your fuel system which would allow fuel to evaporate into the atmosphere). This is why your check engine light will come on if you leave you fuel cap off.
Now how much pollution do you think is generated from roasting a $600 set of tires (or $1000 clutch) conpared to a 0.020" leak in your fuel system? And what reg will the EPA or CARB come up with that will prevent this? You can't fix stupid, and we need less government.
Makes as much sense as the tree huggers who burn a HUMMER because they supposedly get lousey fuel economy and destroy the earth.

They weren't "burning off $600 worth of tires" they were finishing off the $600 tires, after 8,000 miles.

No disrespect intended. I associate large incomes with white collar work. You never see a blue collar worker bringing in 150K.

I was watching Carolyn go out to crank her car one morning, and when she hit the key, the battery exploded... it wasn't nearly as dramatic as that, but the hood did poof out a little... -Mike

I am either too stupid or too smart to figure out that burnout video. What happened? Did he have the parking brake on? How can he not know his tires werent spinning? He couldnt feel the rear end? Was he feathering the clutch? Is this Vette to hi tech to allow the tires to break loose.Too much grip with those $600 tires? How can this be done to the clutch? Someone splain it please. BTW, I have done my share of burnouts back in the 70's.

This reminds me of several years, many years, ago we sold a Nissan "Z" car to a young lady. Little did we know that she could not drive a stick shift, her boy friend drove the car away from our Dealership. "Z" car back with 280 miles on it with major damage to gear box. Boy friend was teaching her how to drive. Much to my surprize Nissan OK`ed the repair. BTW, I would like to smack the Vett. guy.

Don't know for sure, but I would guess he tried to do the burn out with out disabling the traction control system, but that's just a guess. I don't understand the TC system on the 'vette, but if it uses brakes to control wheel spin, that'll do it.
