Wisdom Tooth....non Valk

Had my last wisdom tooth pulled yesterday.   Walked in for my appointmesnt and 15 minutes later I was out the door.    When they escorted me to the dental chair the doc was standing there with the deadening shot in hand.  Soon as my head hit the chair he was giving me the shots.  He stood right there till deadening took effect and bam he went to work.   Probly took him about 60 seconds to cut that sucker out and he was done.  Couple more days and Im ready to get on with life.

Most people get those pulled in their youth. You must be wise beyond your years.

I had all 4 taken out at one sitting, by an oral surgeon at Scott AFB, shortly after coming on active duty (right after graduating from KU).

Mine were not removed in youth.

None of them came out easily.

They were wrenched and jerked back and forth, my neck badly jarred, and I had his tennis shoe tread marks on my forehead for days after each one.

And my last extremely difficult extraction gave me permanent, never ending dial-tone tinnitus in my head (for about 2 years now).  An absolute curse I would wish on no one.  

I'd have been better off letting the damn thing rot and infect to the point of it being pulled out with fingers instead of the hard trauma of forced extraction.

My dentist is a nice fellow, but I'd rather swap spit with a leper than ever see him again.

I still have my 2 bottoms in .
The uppers were pulled in my mid & late 30's.

My DDS knows he MUST use the topical on me first !
Then the needle. Squirms in Chair is written on the Top of my file !
LOL all of my DDS's had that in Big red letters on the top of my file.
At least my head is still .. It's my body n legs that move !

I had to have all four of mine out when I was 13. They were well under the gums and had to be taken out by an oral surgeon while I was out from a general anesthesia.

Mine were removed in my 18 th summer.   Not saying I have a big mouth, but I had room in my mouth for them to say in.  Except that the ones on the lower jaw were coming in pointing to the outside.  The ones on the top were heading towards the front of my mouth.   The lowers were easy to remove.  The ones on the top, the dentist had to drill and split them in to chunks as they were under my back molars.  That was a long couple of hours sitting there with mouth open.   

I did have a fifth wisdom tooth removed in my early 30's.

Ive been very lucky, none of mine have came in, and if they did, they didn't give me any problems.
 I absolutely hate the dentist , they scare the crap out of me so I rarely visit them. when I do visit, they give me a valium before hand and use laughing gas they know to sneek the needle in my mouth without me seeing it LOL
 Ive lost other teeth , so maybe there was enough room for the wisdom teeth to come in with no pain...who knows but I aint asking the dentist anything until I have major pain.

No fears for me. I go twice a year. Next month I’ll be 77 and still have all 4 wisdom teeth. Lucky I guess.

     I have full upper and lower dentures due to my own dental neglect. I believe it was all done at once but as I was still drivin big truck that was the WHY of whatever was left comin out all at once. Put me out and git er done!!  Had some Bad Experiences as a child in the dentists office!  Guess those things still with me as I git chills just thinkin bout it.  RIDE SAFE.
