I got two promotions in the first 15 years at the shop. Twice as much head ache and not much higher pay. Passed on the next two promos and have never regretted it. Retired now and almost stress free.

I agree with what he says, but kudos to those who had good advice from elders and examples on how to
achieve their dreams. The role models have changed.
Media does not paint a true picture, and kids don't know their true potential.
Many don't even know the rewards for a job well done no matter what the job.
