I just noted on Facebook a post by his daughter, we've lost Clint Peters (clintsdicvo)

Such a kind man, and talented leather worker....

His daughter's post:

His cousin just sent me a message telling me about it.  He was an awesome person, always so generous and would do anything for anyone in need!  He will be missed!

A very kind and generous person, indeed! I gave some of his leather work as gifts over the years... he surely did have talent at that. Along with so many others, he will be missed...

As Hay said, I cherish the flask that he made me

It carries 18 yr old Glenlivet currently

I will certainly imbibe a good portion tonight

I remember his converted milk truck and also the camping setup he once had

Clint always came to visit for a couple days when he came our portion of the world.  He had a place up on the Columbia River where he would spend the summer.   He had kin in CA also.   He made my wife and I some leather products that are still used today.  True artist with leather.

Sorry to hear that he has passed, but knew he was in poor health recently.

Sad to hear. Always enjoyed the parking lot chats after the ride-ins. "R.I.P."  I think I will go remove the gas cap cover and put it with my  neon Vakyrie  sign.

Heartbreaking to hear this.  Clint was a great guy, and stayed with us on several occasions when he was traveling around America.  He was an awesome guy and will be missed.  R.I.P. Clint, we love you.

Clint made a gas cap cover for my Valkyrie. We sat one morning at Inzane and we talked about old age . He said to me " Let me tell you something son........Life is like a roll of toilet paper .....the closer to the end you get the faster it goes". That has stuck with me and as I approach 69 years old, it has become painfully real.
I tell this joke to so many people I meet, so I guess Clints wisdom lives on in his words. He seemed to have been an old school guy and not many of those around these days of immediate gratification. RIP my friend

Meet Clint in Ohio on one of VOIA rides a few years ago . He told me about his leather work and I asked if he could make me a cover for my gas cap as the sun would hit it just right and burn my eye balls.  He did and it is awesome .  I thinking of him every time I look at it.   Thank you Clint. Clint was one of the best. He made me several fine leather items, even some gorgeous collars for my dogs. What I appreciate most, however, was his friendship. Whether he was on two wheels or hauling in a cage, he was simply the nicest guy.

I hate to hear this.  Clint was one of the good ones.  He designed a couple of things for me, one of them in the closet and one on the Valkyre I sold. We discussed his Dodge Aspen and his milk truck pretty often online.  A very nice man I was enriched by knowing.
