I am wanting to install passenger floorboards on my 1998 valk and would appreciate any info. Since my wife is tall and the standards pegs require her to ride in a uncomfortable position I was wondering if there was a certain brand or accessory I could add to new floorboards that would help lower and possibly move them forward some.

Rivco adjustable would be great, but hard to find anymore.  They did make a run this winter.

I put Cobra floor boards on my IS and my wife loves them.  They only lower the foot 1" but my wife said it made a big difference.  She's about 5'10".  Hope this helps.  Ride safe!!

i was thinking something like this;

you don't have to use the clamp on the end, just bolt it into the spot were your stock foot peg sets, that way, if you want you could rotate the bracket to raise or lower the foot peg.  not sure if it's what you're thinking.

My wife hated the stock pegs, and that was practically the first thing we upgraded.  Not sure how much lower it is, maybe just a tad, but this is what we did.

Used the 7916 but had to use the adapters.

Rivco did make a batch this winter. They have not shipped yet so you may be able to contact them and get a set. I am waiting on mine. They told me they would probably ship in March.

I just got an email from Steph at Rivco.  I asked when the adj. rear boards were going to ship.  She said she would contact production, and find out.  Sooooo, if you contact her asap, you MIGHT be able to slip another order in there!

Mine look great, and the wife loves them.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Bad thing about those is when she would would step on them to get on the bike they will spin or turn on her. I dont think you could get them tight enough not to move.

I emailed Rivco yesterday as I am also interested in a set of these for SWMBO and this is the reply I got

We are currently in the midst of making a small production run of the Valkyrie Adjustable Passenger Floorboards.  The cost of the boards is $429.95 + shipping.  They should be done with in the next 5-7 weeks.  If you are interested in getting a set on order we do require pre-payment on these orders.  I do have about 4 sets left that have not yet been spoken for.  If you are interested please contac me back here at RIVCO.  I do look forward to hearing back from you soon.

After I picked myself up from the floor when I saw the price  Shocked I haven't yet decided whether i am going to follow up and order a set.

I have a set of passenger footrest extensions that my wife really likes.  See link for more information.  They use the OEM peg on the extension piece.  Peg ends up lower and out a little.  She sometimes puts her foot on the top of the extension just for variety of position.

I'm looking at these. http://www.directlineparts.com/product.asp?pid=6788&str=2

With this extender.http://www.directlineparts.com/product.asp?pid=7014&str=2   2" version

This will give me several options to get the peg right for her + with the swingwing folded out gives her "highway" foot position.
