For those interested in camping: The Lazy Llama is a good place to look first, the best would be David Crocket Birthplace State Park, but it was pretty damaged from the flooding, I am unsure how "back together" they are.
I have not had an opportunity this year to do much scouting in different areas due to work. With the major flooding that took place last fall in southern Greene County and surrounding areas for East TN and Western NC, we have a prime opportunity to view some of the existing damage and new infrastructure/roads along the Nolichucky River. As well as boost the local economy a little. Maybe even pay tribute to the 100+ year old dam that held up against the raging waters of Hurricane Helene.
Also, As of April 23rd I've heard the primary motel is already booked up. Just down the street on highway 11E is an overflow motel for those wishing to still attend.

I don't think I can get away.
Last year around that time I was in the hay fields & the garden.
I'll have to see.
If anything, I might be able to ride over for an hour or so.
Just don't know yet.
It looks only to be 170 miles one way

I just called to make a reservation and was told that all rooms are booked!
If that's true I guess I'm waiting for a cancellation.
UPDATE:
Although the lady that answered the phone clearly told me that they were sold out, Travelocity let me book a room through their website.
I told the person on the phone that I wanted to book a room with the motorcycle group on Memorial Day Weekend.
Maybe, she misunderstood.
