How do you remove the Valk emblem from a fuel tank without harming the tank/finish?  Also, how do you put them back on so that they stay?

Thanks

While I've never removed any, my understanding is a little heat and fishing line does the job.

I've never installed any emblems either, but have used 3m double sided tape on OEM bag guards years ago and it's still holding great.

Heat gun and WD40 and floss/fishing line would be my procedure in order.

There is a silicone caulk ,OSB , available in many colors. When ready to install , put painters tape over the area , hold  item in area , trace around it. Remove the traced area , use a exacto (or similar, no affiliation) to remove the inner pattern.  Use less caulk than you think you need. Wipe excess , and clean any slobber before it dries. If needed , put painters tape over item and let dry. It will not normally slide , but do not chance it.  After it is dry , remove the painters tape.  This works on a lot of repairs.
