Day Four - Beaufort, SC
While, we had been to Beaufort, SC before, it was only an overnight stay as we traveled. This time we wanted to see what it was really like.
In short, if you have your hotel on Bay Street, you have access to almost everything. From food, to souvenirs, to other things you might want to explore or things you might wish to purchase as mementos of your time there.
And, just up the road is the U.S.. Marine Corps Air Station. And just a few miles away, down the road is the Paris Island Marine Corps Museum. Which I planned on visiting.
The only problem was, I did not read the fine print and we did not bring our Passports along. You need a REAL ID to enter. And while our passports are up to date, we have not used them to get the new “Real ID” Drivers License.
Still a nice enjoyable stay. And I would recommend, as mentioned before, staying at the Best Western Sea Island Inn.
Here are some pictures we took of the waterfront only a few steps away from our hotel.

And a video of our ride West on Bay Street.
