You know, I watched that show for years and years.
Today, I can't stand it.
Wow Jess. I still enjoy the shows. Probably because in my early years in special ops our big deployment exercises were similar set-up to the 4077. Twenty man tents shower tents, latrine tents, the whole nine yards. I can still smell the JP4 heaters and the canvas. The good old daysThe comedy was always 1st class Jeff. The increasingly liberal agenda (mostly from Hawkeye Pierce's mouth) put me off it.
Jag officers don't get sent in the field much. I did spend time working mobility lines where whole units (often Reserves) were called up and walked though hangers, past various tables (jag, medical (shot records/shots given if needed), chaplain, personnel, yada) then into waiting C141s and maybe C130s. The jag table was wills/powers of attorney/next of kin; stuff that was already supposed to already have been done, and guys would get in trouble if they hadn't, and would walk by me not getting it done to stay out of trouble (but we could do it on the spot). Some practice, some real.
You probably walked though something like that a time or two yourself.

I was also legal advisor on a number of aircraft accident investigations, and walked though some smoking rubble holes. Fortunately, by the time I got there, the bodies, brains and guts had already been cleaned up (mostly).
