Lots of great memories of her on that show. She made that role all hers after the movie that’s for sure.

It’s another tough loss so soon after losing George Wendt a couple weeks ago.

Wow!  Reasons for sticking around are diminishing quickly.

You know, I watched that show for years and years.

Today, I can't stand it.

I can't either. I won't even watch 10-15 minutes while waiting for another show's time slot.

Wow Jess. I still enjoy the shows. Probably because in my early years in special ops our big deployment exercises were similar set-up to the 4077. Twenty man tents shower tents, latrine tents, the whole nine yards. I can still smell the JP4 heaters and the canvas. The good old days

I’ll admit we don’t watch it as much as we use to anymore either.

The first 3-4, maybe 5 seasons were the best, good comedy, great antics, some memorable quotes and fun characters.

Once they began really dabbling with the characters and politics of the war it started to get less fun.

The comedy was always 1st class Jeff.  The increasingly liberal agenda (mostly from Hawkeye Pierce's mouth) put me off it.

Jag officers don't get sent in the field much.  I did spend time working mobility lines where whole units (often Reserves) were called up and walked though hangers, past various tables (jag, medical (shot records/shots given if needed), chaplain, personnel, yada) then into waiting C141s and maybe C130s. The jag table was wills/powers of attorney/next of kin; stuff that was already supposed to already have been done, and guys would get in trouble if they hadn't, and would walk by me not getting it done to stay out of trouble (but we could do it on the spot).  Some practice, some real.

You probably walked though something like that a time or two yourself.  Smiley

I was also legal advisor on a number of aircraft accident investigations, and walked though some smoking rubble holes.  Fortunately, by the time I got there, the bodies, brains and guts had already been cleaned up (mostly).

Ya, the liberal stuff. I guess  I’m used to tuning it out because my whole family is like that. We can’t talk about current events much. They are amazed Judy and I are still alive after Covid since we never wore masks got the shot or social distanced. I’m truly the black sheep in my family, it’s sad. M A S H and Cheers were my old time favorites. Luckily I can stream both of them for free and do still enjoy them. Oh and a little Gillian’s Island. lol

No shots or masks for me either (though during the very worst of it, I'd wear a mask to shop only because I was afraid I'd get lynched by the other shoppers if I didn't.)

You shouldn't feel like the black sheep Jeff, they're the black sheep.  There's also people in my life I just can't talk about that stuff with either.  Cry  (There's no changing them, and it just brings grief.)

I'm mostly into old movies more than old sit coms.

Bogy and Bacall (To Have and Have Not - 1944), just yesterday.   Smiley

How he landed that beauty, I'll never know.
