KK is the lucky kiddo to come along for Inzane 2025... I noticed there's a Renaissance Festival 15 minutes from GZ so we decided to head out early so we could check it out....

Day one. Thursday 6/5/2025.
Rowlett, TX to Dyersburg TN.
530 miles
KK started counting tire carcasses on the road. 41 today.

Texas, Arkansas, Missouri (Didn't even notice we'd be going into Missouri on my route planning until we saw the "Welcome to!" sign) and Tennessee.... Boring miles, blessedly uneventful.

Day two, Friday 6/6/2025.
Dyersburg TN to Point Pleasant WV.
518 miles
Tire carcasses - 57

The route was close enough to Point Pleasant WV we elected to detour just a tad. Kali had her motorcycle accident back in 2021 less than a mile from the Mothman statue, so KK and I decided to finally go see it (And taunt Kali a bit of course).

I startled KK a bit when we got near when I suddenly yelled, swerved to the side of the road and emotionally started taking pictures.

It was the exact spot Kali went down. The road was greatly improved though!

Saw the Mothman statue. Checked out the tourist trap shop. Checked it off my list.

We were close enough to the big power plant that was the scene of the last pre-accident pics with Kali that we chose to go over there and semi-recreate those pics...

Kali in 2021:

KK in 2025:

Brief Kali interlude - she's now The Voice of the Cavalry, does the planning, setup and announcements for ceremonies for The First Cavalry down at Fort Hood...

Day three, Saturday 6/7/2025.
Point Pleasant WV to Lewisburg WV
166 miles
Tire carcasses - 13

Today we went to the West Virginia Renaissance Festival. Nice smaller faire, very hilly. The parking lot was just a muddy track, no gravel. I really thought I was going down several times, but we made it...
Had a good time at the festival, saw some traveling performers we know from Scarborough Faire (The faire outside Dallas) and several we'd not seen before...
Felt really weird to be at a Renaissance Festival while wearing pants!

From there we carefully exited the mud pit parking lot and made our way to GZ early, settled in and just chilling a bit now...

See some of ya'll soon, and missing those of ya'll that can't make it...

Great post and pics Brian, thanks for sharing.   cooldude

I'm sorry I won't be in WVa to hook up.

Apparently, everyone in your family is taller than me.   Grin

Day four, Sunday 6/8/2025.
Lewisburg WV
0 miles
Tire carcasses - 0

KK helped get packets ready and helped with registering attendees. Then Early Bird dinner. We didn't leave the hotel, and I didn't take my usual plethora of pics but:

Day five, Monday 6/9/2025.
Lewisburg WV and surrounding area
128 miles
Tire carcasses - 3

Heard there was a bridge in the area. Put the bridge in the GPS, it gave me 3 options. Two of them were the same time estimate, but one was half the mileage; took the half the mileage route, two lane twisty roads, was a nice fun ride.

Saw the big bridge. New River Gorge Bridge - longest single-span arch bridge on Earth outside of China (And China doesn't really count anyway Wink )

Rode the old one way road down to the bottom. 10/10 would ride again.

For some dumb reason I elected to take the "Twice the mileage, same time, mostly freeway" route back to GZ. I regretted that most of the way back, but we got back. KK helped some more with registration and raffle tickets then fulfilled the legacy of her big sister by doing the Vanna'ing for the raffle...

And now KK (Er, Shortie I guess?) has requested ice cream for dinner... I 'spose she's earned that, so off to get the kid some ice cream...

Nice ride report Serk. I wish I could be there this year, but my back has gotten so bad I dead walking any distance at all. It would be excruciating to just walk around the hotel.  I will really miss the fun.

Thanks for the report Serk. At least someone is letting the rest of us see a little bit of the happening. I remember the early Inzanes when people would actually post videos from the Inzane locations.

Apologies for not updating this, been busy living it. Smiley

Just a quick update, KK and I had a great time at IZ25, then went through western New York, Niagra Falls, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and now back in the USA in Stratton Maine, time to point the bike home tomorrow... Will try to update and post pics and such later but wanted to check in and say Howdy!

We (friends and I and wife a couple of times) have been through that area.  It was almost always very scenic and enjoyable.

Some Videos of those trips.

Gonna try to catch up on this a little bit:

Day six, Tuesday 6/10/2025.
Lewisburg WV and surrounding area
7 miles
Tire carcasses - KK decided to reTIRE this tire counting thing (Mostly)

Took KK to see a cave just a few miles from GZ... It was no Carlsbad Caverns, but it was still a nice diversion...  (Lost World Caverns)

That evening was Block Party (And KK's first ever group ride experience of any kind. She liked it!)

Day seven Wednesday 6/11/2025.
Lewisburg WV and surrounding area
51 miles

Joe Boyd Memorial Charity Lunch Ride to Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park

KK's first group ride of more than a few blocks, she REALLY liked it!

Lunch was provided by the charity (Children's Home Society of West Virginia) and was some good home cooked food. I think they were trying to give Motomama a run for her money on the pies and desserts!)

Speaking of Motomama's pies and desserts, that night was the pie auction...

KK enjoyed "Vanna'ing" during the raffle...

I had my annual "I'm not diabetic tonight" slice of Sopapilla Cheesecake...

After all the pies had been auctioned, a surprise bonus pie entered the auction, and Motomama HAPPILY destroyed any who would bid against her for the honor of delivering it...

Okay, still a lot more to get updated on, but been a long day riding today, will try to update more once I'm home for real... Posted from Hope Arkansas...

It's been fun following your travels.  I wish I could have talked my sons into going on rides with me, but they just have never been interested in motorcycling.
I looked at the old pictures of when the trips wre born, they are still as cute as they were then.
Sorry I missed IZ this year, catch up with you next year.
