Ive read about the daymaker conversion and it looks very nice....andnuve seen posts where people have to re-wire/upgrade wiring...

Im keeping my bike as stock as possible AND dont want to spend $$$ or damage existing wiring....so can I drop in a $40 Amazon 7in led headlight like on my Yamaha cruisers? Is there a "bulb only" replacement that is noticably bettwr than stock 26 year old bulv (i.e. Silverstar)?

Thanks for any input

A Silverstar regular bulb not the Ultra as it has a very short life. A slight adjustment up works wonders. 3 bikes /70,000 mile on my 1st. one. A Back Off brake light modulator on the rear completes my lighting beyond stock. I traveled late night for 10 yrs. and never failed seeing "tasty's" down the road 1/2 mi. ahead.

Thinking between a LED H4/9003 plug n play or the Silver Star. Just want "better" not perfect....wont be primary bike...wont get more than 200 miles/year likely....want to keep bike 100% original ad possible (1999 with 3,976 miles)....

I have one of these in all my bikes. Lasts a very long time - USA made. Amazing illumination and acuity.

Good to see another happy Cyclops customer on the board, other than Disco and myself.  My Interstate had 2 of those bulbs in the faring.  My current standard has one of the Ultras in the bucket and 2 of these mounted on either side of the headlight on a light bar.

They can say that they didn't look, but the CANNOT say that they didn't SEE me.  Smiley

I,ve been running a Cyclops in my 97 std for gosh..probably 5 years or more ..still as bright as the day I installed it and it lights up reflective signs in daylight ...used to occasionally have someone pull out in front of me , but after Cyclops , I can"t remeber the last time it's happened....they are great plug-n-play lights.
