Not mine, that's beyond hope. I'm mulling over the decision for truck stacks on the trike as to whether to get straight cut exhaust showing out back or a slight downward curve. Straight cut would require running the end a couple inches past the bumper due to exhaust possiby messing up both the bumper and the back end of the body just inside of the bumper. The downward curve I think would allow me to set the end right at the bumper position but not short of it. I'm kinda leaning in the curved direction, plus cutting about 4" off the piggies. Whatcha ya think? There's 13" clearance bumper to ground, pipe would be 4" leaving approx. 9" clearance. Thinking maybe I could cut the last couple feet off the pipe and use an adapter to downsize the actual exposed rear portion...maybe down to 3". Not sure it would be worth it. There's 1.5" separation of body to bumper so maybe I wouldn't have to go much past the bumper, if at all.

Go with the slight downward curve. Just my .02.

Well, my opinion is first for your safety and the safety of your wife with the exhaust fumes.
I’m sure your bike is well tuned and while moving the exhaust would be blown away but at an idle at a stop light or possibly just puttering at a low speed in traffic exhaust could build up under the bike. I think the straight pipes would get the exhaust and fumes out from under the rear end and still look real nice.
A 4” with an angle cut looks great and makes a statement of you got some power under the hood so to say.

Downward curved pipes blow a lot of dust into the air when on gravel roads or driveways. that is dust that you would have to breath or wipe off your bike at a later time. JIM

I always liked the looks of the straight pipes. I did that to my old 66 Dodge Coronet 440 that I thought to be a hot rod. I won't say where exactly I got the pipe but I had some aluminum pipes coming out the back. I did however cut them at a 45.

I remember those, guess I could look for an adapter to drop the 4" stack down to 3" for the exhaust tip. Don't think I have the room due to the bumper brackets relative to where the pipes exit out back.

John, While I might pick one version versus another, it's not me that has to be happy with the choice in the long run, it's you. Pick the version you and Nancy like best and regardless of what anyone else thinks, it's not in their garage and they don't have or get to ride it. Rams

Pick the version you and Nancy like best and regardless of what anyone else thinks, it's not in their garage and they don't have or get to ride it. Rams True Ron, I ended up ordering some with the downward curve. They're 60" long which is about 4" longer than needed so if I don't like the curve, I can cut the extra 4" off at that end. If I do like it, then I can cut the extra off at the other end. Or, maybe cut an inch or 2 off each end, depends on how much the curve points down. I've seen some where the curved portion is extreme, the pipes I ordered didn't appear so but won't know until they arrive. As for the OEM pipes, the muffler cover and the tail piece were in pretty bad shape. I experimented with polishing them up a bit but to no avail...rust doesn't polish. So dumpster time for the tail pieces which had to be cut off, not sure what I'll do with the covers...may end up in the same place.

Turned down toward the road those pipes will bounce the sound up to where some of you ride behind a windscreen. If you like the curved ones you will be better off with them turned to the outside.

Yup, slightly outward was the first thing on my alleged mine. Have to see how it looks and if "everybody" likes it. If not, I will say there have been times I say screw it and do it anyway...whatever the "it" is at the moment.
