We are going tomorrow through Beartooth Pass in the truck.   Does anyone know if out of Cody on 296 through Chief Joseph Scenic Byway is a paved road all the way to 212 headed towards Beartooth pass?

Uh, yes, a definite destination, bound to become a favorite!
My Dear Sweet Wife has left instructions for her ashes to be spread THERE  angel
Caution, though… beware the tar snakes! One may have bitten me there and caused wild hallucinations of ghost riders & other road demons. Truely a special place!!!  cooldude
Stop often & take lots of pics!!

Just got back from Chief Joseph Scenic Byway.   Very pretty scenery and roads.   Lots of motorcycles out there today.

Ride it a couple weeks ago and the lay of the land there is stellar!

I rode Beartooth and Chief Joseph during the first Billings Inzane. Honestly it was the most spectacular ride of my life. The speed limit is 70 MPH in Montana and 65 in Wyoming. You'd have to try hard to get a ticket.

While up on Beartooth Pass we were at a scenic pulloff and in pulls 2 Valkyries.  Went over and introduced myself and talked Valkyrie fir a while.   Young man who is on this site occassionally named "Doc".  He was with a man that was very friendly...may have been his dad.....its good to meet people from the Valkyrie community out on the road.  Have fun and have a safe trip guys.
