I can get a full spare carb assembly for $300. Needs to be rebuilt and I know how to do that now. Is it worth having a full spare carb assembly for that price, or overkill?

All I can say is I wish I had one about now.

When I had a fleet of Valkyries and intended to use them as my only motorcycle for trips I kept a spare bank...

Once I switched to a single Valk for around town and a EFI slightly less old bike for travel, I let the bank go to another Valkyrie enthusiast who is still keeping a fleet of Valkyries for travel.

For $300 I'd be all over that if Valkyries were still my planned main motorcycle type.
