I’m no expert but I think the front brake rotor is visible on the left side. One of those super large though narrow rotors almost the same diameter as the wheel.

The scene from the Duke’s movie “The Shootist” comes to mind, where’s he’s carrying around his red pillow to sit on.
All in all I’d take it out for a spin too.

Dang, it even has reverse! It deserves something better than straight exhaust. I had a 47 Mercury with duals and glass packs ( my BIL has it now) that sounded good and wasn’t particularly loud.

Nope, for that setup I'd do it straight across even-up. I can work on those old flatties, today's motors requires an engineering degree plus the test equipment to boot. That's outside the purview of my education, both in and out of the classroom.
